How I Lose You Kindle Edition

3.7 out of 5 stars 157 ratings

'Wonderful' - Stylist
'Thoroughly addictive. I loved it.' - RUTH HOGAN, author of The Keeper of Lost Things
'Superb' - Louise O'Neill

When Eva and Adam fall into bed one Friday night, tired and happy after drinks with friends, they have their whole lives ahead of them. But their story ends on page twelve.

That's no reason to stop reading though, because How I Lose You is a story told backwards – and it's all the more warm, tender and moving because we know it is going to be interrupted. It’s a story Eva thought she knew – but as you and she will discover, it’s not just the ending of the story that she got wrong.

Fabulous! Eva and Adam's story is incredibly moving and impossible to put down. An interesting and original mixture of past and present narrative that draws the reader in very quickly. How I Lose You has a strong supporting cast of characters too. Also found the later backdrop of Berlin fascinating. Dark subjects explored/touched on with great sensitivity. Looking forward to the next one.

Thought I would like this book. Started off well but after about 3 chapters didn't enjoy. Didn't like the gaps in conversation - possibly when they were looking at each other? Never grabbed me. Skimmed the rest of it just to see what happened. Very disappointed and anti cl I matic

This could have been an amazing story had it not skipped around so much! And the big family reveal was a big fizzle!

This is a very powerful and heartbreaking read, that deals emotionally but unsentimentally with loss, grief and its aftereffects. Very cleverly constructed. Great dialogue.
