About the author

For David Graham, the publication of his debut novel, Incitement, was like a lot of things in life, down to a little bit of luck. Driving to work one day, listening to The John Murray Show, one of Irish Radio's flagship programs on the national station, he heard the competition for debut novelists being announced. David had tried to get the book published a few years earlier and after a number of rejections, majorly overhauled the story but between running a small business, sitting an executive MBA and raising a family, he had never gotten around to re-submitting. Thinking 'why not' as the manuscript had just languished on his hard drive for more than two years, he entered and to his surprise won from over 300 entrants.
David has had a varied career as a barman, laborer, scaffolder, programmer, troubleshooter, designer and company director. He has worked throughout Europe, particularly in Scandinavia and travelled extensively internationally. David completed a BA in Management in his early 30's after originally finishing schooling at 17 and then went on to complete the MBA while running his own business.
He's also managed to do some fun things along the way, bungee jumping over Victoria Falls, hang-gliding over Rio de Janeiro and rock climbing in North Wales.
David has since completed his second novel, Waterfall.
He has a keen interest in history, economics and current affairs and lives with his wife and two young sons in Dublin.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 May 2017Quite a but of research went into this book and it shows as the protagonist, Luke, is hired as a marketing tool by ENABLE, a charity that aims to provide clean water to parts of the 3rd World. And just like what we've witnessed with some global charities in the real world, once the money starts to roll in, man is consumed by greed.
The plot is solid, the characters worthy, the guilty party evasive right up to the last chapter.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 May 2017I read this book based on really enjoying his previous award winning book "Incitement". This is an excellent follow up. This is another fast paced thriller with twist after twist set against a very relevant backdrop of competition for resource. Aside from being very entertaining it is another very clever book which will make you think.
I live near Battersea in London and I really enjoyed the local references, as well as the other international locations.
Highly recommended.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 May 2017Loved this book. Having read Dave Graham's first book, a highly charged crime thriller, I was keen to read Waterfall when I saw it available.
Great read. Kept me completely absorbed until the end. Nicely descriptive but the anticipation of the story line had me hooked.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 May 2017Loved this book. I should say I have been a fan of John Grisham since I read The firm years ago. This book by Dave Graham (second book) pulled me in the same way. The young guy who is impressed by opportunities and who doesn't realise how deep he is in on something he can't control and didn't sign up for, gets a very modern twist here. The book has lots of twists and turns, rich characters (actually better than Grisham I think) with flaws and redeeming features which makes it believable and a quick and very enjoyable read. Would recommend it to people who like Grisham but also people who just like well paced thrillers with complex plots set against modern backgrounds and lives.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read!!!
This was an exciting story though it had quite a few typos. Luke was an engaging fellow, naive with smarts. And Charlotte a good match to solve all the shenanigans of those greedy bad guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful and full of surpises
This is a great read! This book kept me guessing to the very end, I didn't anticipate the twists and turns the book took. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a little tired of guessing 'who did it' half way through a book. Its a real page turner and kept me up late!
