- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 February 2017Back to life is a beautifully written, vibrantly moving, thoroughly enjoyable read. The engaging conversational style of letters to the author's father transports the reader on an uplifting journey full of humour, hope and encouragement. The author's obvious natural closeness to her father in life seems to deepen and become enhanced as she updates him regularly on her adventures. The reader feels part of the author's journey - with her brilliant powers of description. I actually felt as if I was on the holiday in Hampshire too. I found myself turning the pages quickly while wishing the book could go on forever.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 August 2017Such a positive feeling book. She really does "believe it, see it and it will happen". What was lovely for the reader was how much life /technology is changing in twenty years, we still have the same time management problems but it reminds you to stop and appreciate in a nostalgic way; how far we have come. A god book to read if you are on the brink of making life changes yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing company...beautifully written straight from the heart.
So enjoyable, delightfully funny while utterly moving. The book is a captivating series of letters to the author's father, who had died 4 years before from a stress-related cancer. The closeness of this special father-daughter relationship seems to deepen further as she updates him regularly on her adventures...the tone is touchingly friendly. I really felt I was part of the journey...I could smell the turf fire smoke and taste the Guinness! The author, Clodagh, has uncanny powers of description...a magical read. In case any of you are as curious as I was, the Triple Spiral on the cover dates back 5,000 years to the Stone Age found in the carvings at Newgrange, a 'Triskele' ... an ancient symbol overseeing a book full of new beginnings...I know that I will cherish my paperback & read it again & again.
