- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 March 2016I feel like this book was written for me.
Of course I grew up in Dundonald and know most of the people that the characters are loosely (allegedly) based upon, but putting that to one side, this is a fun satirical view on a sleepy East Belfast suburb. Dundonald has spawned such legends as Lord Colin Murray (patron Saint of Sports Radio) and the guy from Def Leppard (the one with both arms), but now the likes of Stevie McGreedy and Bap McBride will be written into Northern Irish folklore.
The book is an easy read and follows on from a number of hilarious posts on the DLA's Facebook page. I see them as a younger Hole in the Wall Gang, only funny.
Uppa DLA!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 March 2016Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Cant even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book. I grew up in the Dundonald area so a lot of the jokes, places and people are personal to me, but honestly, anyone looking an insight in to how real people live and laugh in East Belfast, or indeed, anywhere in Northern Ireland, get this book, its beezer!
A real taste of home :)

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 May 2016I have been a follower of the DLA for quite a while. I secretly believed in the struggle they have concerning the illegal occupation from lisburn from last year. I voted for their political wing in the recent elections the D.I.C well because I love the D.I.C. Also I have been want to find out how to enter V.A.A.J for a while whith no luck.
