Teach and Grow Rich: Share Your Knowledge to Create Global Impact, Freedom and Wealth Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 940 ratings

What is the Teach and Grow Rich opportunity, and how does it affect you?

In Teach and Grow Rich, entrepreneur and bestselling author Danny Iny reveals the ocean of opportunity for anyone who has useful knowledge and is willing to share it with others. If you've tried to create and sell an online product before and failed, this book will show you a process that will help you succeed at last: co-creation. This updated edition describes co-creation in greater detail.

It also tells the stories of many who have learned and executed the process. They're proof that the opportunity to teach and grow rich doesn't favor only those who have specialized expertise, business experience, or vast resources. Almost anyone can seize this opportunity and attain wealth, impact, and lifestyle freedom.

To begin, you'll learn how to:

  • Address the common obstacle that keeps others from teaching online: confidence
  • Determine your potential for becoming an online course creator
  • Use co-creation to create an online course people will pay for and that will produce the outcomes they desire

Following this blueprint, you'll also learn how to:

  • Find a hyper-narrow and specific topic for your first (pilot) online course and validate it
  • Write a single-page curriculum with the flexibility for co-creating your course with your pilot students
  • Sell your pilot course even before you've built it and even if you don't have an audience
  • Address different learning modalities and deliver an online course
  • Gather meaningful feedback from your students and use them to keep making your courses better
  • Lather, rinse, and repeat the process until you have an Education Empire

Danny Iny (@DannyIny) is an educator, entrepreneur, and the founder and CEO of Mirasee - a business education company. He’s developed widely acclaimed training, coaching, and support programs including the Course Builder’s Laboratory, Standout Guest Posting, the Business Ignition Bootcamp, and the ACES Club, which together have graduated over 5,000 value-driven entrepreneurs.

Danny’s nine published books include Leveraged Learning, Teach and Grow Rich, The Audience Revolution, and Engagement from Scratch!.

Danny’s lifelong love-hate relationship with education began with dropping out of high school at age 15, and eventually led to earning an MBA from Canada’s elite Queen’s School of Business. He has guest lectured at institutions including McGill and Yale universities, and is sought after by many authorities in the world of online business education, who are his private clients. Danny’s work is followed by over 100,000 experts and professionals

All of this grew out of humble beginnings; he started out just like most online entrepreneurs, with an idea and a message to share, and no idea how to do it. He made several wrong turns, but he’s fond of saying that failure isn’t the end of the story—it’s just a “plot twist.”

Back in 2011, he started Firepole Marketing with less than nothing; he had no traffic, no subscribers, no relationships with any influencers in the industry, and over a quarter million dollars in personal debt, left over from his last failed startup.

In just a few short years, he transformed Firepole Marketing into Mirasee and grew the business to multiple-seven figures in revenue. Together with his talented wife, he now leads a team of 30+ people spread all over the world who are on a mission to support a very special global community of 100,000+ loyal and inspired entrepreneurs.

Then, in 2015, Firepole Marketing became Mirasee, a change that reflects the true mission of the brand, which is helping visionary entrepreneurs create income through impact.

Danny has maintained a passionate commitment to learning and transparency, freely sharing lessons learned from great successes, major challenges, and even his personal life to support the online entrepreneurial community as a teacher, speaker, angel investor, and advisor to many of the top leaders in our industry, who have Danny on speed-dial when they need help with their business or strategy.

His work is followed by over 100,000 experts and professionals across various outreach channels (email, social media, blog, a column on Inc.com, etc.), and between 2015-2018, they’ve invested over $10 million towards training for success in the online education and course building space through his books and courses.

His study, research, and unflagging drive over the years have culminated in his latest work, Leveraged Learning, which aims to sow the seed of higher education’s transformation in the coming years.

This is a hugely useful book. Not because it takes you step by step through everything you need to know to make a lot of money (it doesn't!). It is useful precisely because it doesn't try to do that. It is useful because in a 90 minute read it encapsulates everything that a couple of years of studying the internet business market will teach you. It's useful because it will be read, understood and give confidence to people who have knowledge to share but are not exactly sure whether they can get paid for putting in the work required to achieve that. It is the "simplicity beyond complexity". Danny is wholeheartedly committed to teaching a better way to do online business. Anyone who has been involved in Firepole's ventures and growth knows that he delivers, this little book will show you exactly why that is important to every single one of us.

I got this book when it was free - I'm not sure if there is a price attached to it now. Knowing Danny's work, I don't think the cost will be very much if there is a price,as he likes to get his words out there for very little cost...or at best no cost at all.

I found the book interesting and tend to agree wholeheartedly with his sentiments but it wasn't ground-breaking in my opinion.

Having said that, I still think it is worth a read if you're in the arena of selling information.

I ordered this book for my kindle and was not disappointed. It gives really valuable information on how to start making money from teaching other people what you know.
Either in the form of online courses, ebooks or one to one tutorials, everybody has something to teach someone. This ebook shows you how to start that process, decide which form you use and make money in the process.
This would be an ideal tool to use if you wanted to travel around the world and have an income as it can all be done online.

I should state that I received this product free, it was on a free promotion initially. Although a review was not requested as part of the promotion I felt it warranted one.

This is a little book that can be read in an hour or two but it does contain a few important concepts that will be useful to anyone considering creating their own educational courses in the Online Course industry. It did feel light on information and just a teaser for the training courses that are promoted within the book and it was disappointing that the links to extra resources which sounded quite helpful, no longer link to any resources but just to the expensive training course. Worth the cost of a posh coffee if you are in, or planning to enter this industry.

First of all, this is a quick book to read. You could sit and read it from start to finish very quickly. Maybe 2 hours, a little longer if you don't read so fast. Having known Danny since before his meteoric rise to internet fame, I know he's the real deal. That he's a writer that does what he advises people to do. I purchased one of his first programs, reviewed his first books and watched his journey unfold. I can only imagine that if you hadn't seen it unfold that you might think his journey is a little too good to be true.
You CAN teach and grow rich. You can grow a business from your passions, but you need to have mastery of your subject first. Danny is a superb copywriter, he has expanded this skill and developed it so that he can teach you to grow a successful business.
The key to Danny's success, and yours, is to take notes, and put into action the advice. If you can't do that, then he's not the teacher for you.

Just to address the comments that the book is an advertisement for a course. So? You get good value in the book. If you want to take it further then you can. If you don't no one is making you. Every non-fiction book ever written is an advertisement for something. And if you're writing a non-fiction book, don't kid yourself that your book has a different goal! Books have been a marketing tool since the Gutenberg Press.

Teach and Grow Rich is an enjoyable read. If you like to read about success and how to attract in more of it, then this is the book for you.

I liked everything about the book, especially the "Pilot" strategy. Anyone even remotely considering creating online courses should read this book to make the task easier and journey more enjoyable. This is the 'small' lever that opens up that 'BIG' door of opportunity - the 80/20 of Online Course Creation!

Definitely THE book to read if Online Course Creation is the course (pun intended) you want to take in your life.

Start here or regret it for the rest of your course…(yeah, sounds kind of lame)

    Hey just buy the book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Even if you think you know everything about selling online, you'll find this book will expand (and change) the way you think.
Reviewed in the United States on 17 September 2015
What a great, insightful, super-quick read. Even if you think you know everything you need to know about teaching and online teaching via schools (as a K-12 teacher or college/university teacher), you do not know THIS stuff. It's a completely different thing to create courses outside of that environment, where classes must be taken to graduate. And if you're coming from a business/entrepreneurial/marketing background, you probably won't know this stuff either, as there are some concepts here that are new and come contrary to popular wisdom. And if you're thinking everything should be geared toward "passive income," boy are you in for ride. ;)

In fact, I would call this a concept book or a book that informs how you think of things (and how you approach real, educational courses in a fluent, savvy way). It's not a book that teaches you how to build your course, how to troubleshoot your course building, or if your specific course is on target.

I'm in Danny Iny's Course Builder's Laboratory (was actually a PILOT student, which will make you smile once you read the book), and I made 16 bookmarks of elements I wanted to go back to & re-read. And when he launches Course Builder's Laboratory 2.0, I'll actually go thru every single lesson again, because he does what he preaches here: he constantly adjusts, pivots, adds additional or easier approaches, etc.

I actually found this book really valuable. It can be read in one sitting, if you'd like. And it presentation of concepts is elegantly laid out.

Here are some of the topics that I really liked and made notes on:
    1) Info products vs. education products. Most products/courses that are created fail at being education products, and what the missing piece is.
    2) The reason the current high pricing for info products won't last.
    3) The value of co-creation between you and your PILOT students.

    BEST features of book:
    * Lots of little stories & analogies, which always makes material quick to understand and a lot funner to read. They're like nuggets of goodness.
    * Videos, roadmap, handouts (from 2 websites) as bonus material! (They're not loaded as I write this, but I love additional materials to support books. I read a lot of non-fiction authors who do this, because I think you tend get really good value from the extra materials and move toward doing, not just knowing.)
    * His TL;DR summaries at the end of each chapter.

    WISHED for features:
    * I bought this book a few days ago (before it was FREE, I might add!), so this might have changed, but I'd love a Table of Contents. I like knowing where I am in the scheme of things. Plus, then I could jump to the TL;DR summaries. Right now, it's page by page, but it's a short book, so I can make that work.
    * I'd really like an example of someone who has traveled from info products/courses into education products/course, insights into the experience, and the payoffs.

I think he's dead right about the differences in student participation/support correlated to the level of mastery gained, because I've observed this difference in myself, and I'm a perpetual biz student. It perfectly sums up how I behave as a student. The select biz/entrepreneurial classes I've taken in the last 5 years, ALL feature the difference between info and education products/classes. And to this day, I feel the money I spent (not cheap) had a VERY HIGH return in practical knowledge translated into real skills and doing, from some of the best experts and best teachers I've ever had (far, far outstripping my college experience).

Because of all this, I think the biggest switch in thinking will be for the readers who come from the idea of "passive income." This is the opposite of "passive income." For these folks, this book could be revolutionary and evolutionary.
