I enjoyed some of these stories a lot and others not so much. Short stories can be a great way to discover new authors/series to read (although somewhat frustrating when the story ends too soon!), and this book introduced several new characters that I look forward to reading more about in the future.

Most of these stories are inventive and interesting with real human, or otherwise, characters. Some are prequels to longer novels and I have to say that one or two are tempting me to read more by the author. Stories are just long enough for bedtime reading and all stand alone. Definitely worth a look.

Always like these cheap collections as it provides a way to discover new authors for little outlay.
Usually each story is taster or prequel of an existing book.
Well worth reading, I enjoyed nearly all the books in this one, and have gone on to purchase further books by some of the authors.

Me ha gustado mucho, las historias son variadas e interesantes.
Varias son precuelas de sagas, pero casi todas son autocontenidas, así que no importa.

This was a wonderful collection of stories. All of them were well written and riveting stories. Some I liked more than others but overall they were all interesting. My favorites were the stories written by Lindsay Buroker, DaCosta, Faye, Gockel, Highley, Pope, and Wells. These stories touched me emotionally or kept me thinking about them even after I finished reading them. If you like well written and thoughtful science fkction you will like this book.
