- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2020This is the book which ultimately cost me £7.99 in a Kindle unlimited month subscription, just so that my 10-year-old daughter could read the entire set! She has been been totally enthralled and engrossed by this book and the entire series since then.
Any author who can encourage a child to read voracious amounts of quality literature gets my vote. Whilst our children are in lockdown and the temptations of electronics are calling, I welcome any well written and engaging fiction books.
When I was a little girl, in a world without mobile phones or internet, I read the entire mobile library. I suspect that my daughter will read the entire Kindle catalogue from this author now, so that level of engagement is seriously impressive!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 May 2018I have loved your Witch School books, they are great! Every time I finish one book I am literally sprinting to a bookshelf to get another one. I have read books 1-3 and I want to keep on reading the rest of the series,. I love it at the end of one book how it keeps you in suspense of what's going to happen in the next book, so it really urges you to get the next book and try to finish the series. Thank you for creating such an amazing series of books about Witch School for us young readers. B, age 9 X

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 August 2019My 8 year old daughter, has just finished reading this. She absolutely loved it and read it within a couple of days. It had her hooked all the way through, everytime I seemed to look at her she had the kindle in her hands reading. She was excited to tell me what the characters were doing, how the story was unfolding and what she thinks might happen next.
I have just downloaded the second book on to my kindle for her.
Would definitely recommend this to people with little girls. Not sure about boys, as my son hasn't read it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 May 2020I have read this book multiples of time each at different ages. I used to love this book as it reminded me of my all time favourite series. Now that my love of Harry Potter has drifted away a little, i've began to find this book alot more boring, and I have to put in to much effort to enjoy it. A book shouldn't be like that though; it should draw you in from the first chapter and make you sit on the edge of your seat in awe / amazment.
Another reason why I found this booking boring is Katrina used the word / conjunction 'and' far to much - eg, Molly wore a long black skirt and a bronze crop top and had her long blond hair tied up in a high pony tail. Obviously, this is just an example but this is mostly what Katrina's description sounds like. Does she not know any better conjuctions and has she never heard of a semi collon (;).
One big annoying asspect of the book (which I find very popular in most of the book I have read by Katrina) is most of the characters have blond hair. Does she have a dislike towards none blond haired people?
The age rating for this series is 9-11. Stick to it, im 12 and this book board me out of my mind. Even though it was an alright way to pass the time, I defiantly won't be buying any more book in this series.
Spoiler
Charlotte is a Witch - like her mother but her father is an ordinary. A human without the power to cast spells / brew potions. Aka a muggle.
She joins a school for witches and makes new friends along her journey through school, but also makes an enimie in the proses. What will happen when Charlotte tells the truth about Margaret?
Don't get put of by my negative review. This book might be for you.
Perfect for younger fans of Harry Potter. If you're older then why not check out one of Katrina's novels suitable for teens. eg - Slave to a Vampire, Angel, My brother is an outcast
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 December 2018The 9 and 10 year olds I work with really enjoyed it. I thought it was good as well. It has photographs of the characters in which the children found extremely interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
i am now 13 years old.
after finishing Harry potter series, one of my friends told me to try with percy jackson series and i loved both the books so much. but after finish reading both of these series i was just lookig for someother series. then one day i saw this book and i got soo interested in reading it, but the problem was that i finished it in one day and i just wnted to read more because there wasnt a complete ending, so we have to buy the next book " witch school-2". the first book in the series was free but we have to buy the other books or get a kindle unlimited :-( so it would have been great if the other books were free too:-) :-) so what i say is that you should surely buy this book only if you have a kindle unlimited or if you are ready to spent money to buy the rest of the books of this series or you will be so sad that you will not be able to finish the story as it is a continution. so pls try your best to buy all the books or dont start reding it :-(
:-) thank you :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Smoothie book
OMG this series is so good. Tbh at first I thought that it would be a bit boring but that was before I got sucked into Charlottes world. It is a bit of a mix between Harry Potter and the TV show The Worst Witch. That is fine by me though. I love both and this book is a perfect thriller for girls. It is sort of like a smoothie: a bit of Harry Potter here, a bit of The Worst Witch there, some comedy, and a whole lot of love. I REALLY recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet lovely book to read. It is the perfect smoothie book.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's just my opinion
I have given five stars based on what I experienced reading it when I was 12.. loved it then .I read it after reading Harry Potter ...I was starving for more magical books so I decided to give it a try...as u said I enjoyed it then it was easy English and you could understand it without any probs ..But now IAM older and I don't seem to enjoy it at all maybe it's the age but I think if you are about 9 - 11 you will love it..
I think it is kind of inspired by Harry Potter (not sure)
