Greg Brown has served twenty-one years in pastoral ministry, including fourteen in his current position as a chaplain and professor at Handong Global University and the teaching pastor at Handong International Congregation. He also served as a U.S. Navy Reserve chaplain until his retirement in 2022. He earned a MA in religion and MA in teaching from Trinity International University, a MRE from Liberty University, and a PhD in theology from Louisiana Baptist University. In addition, he is the author of the best-selling series, The Bible Teacher’s Guide, which has forty books.

Greg married his lovely wife, Tara, in 2006, and they have three children, Saiyah, Hannah, and Jaelin. His passion in life is to know God and serve him by studying, teaching, and writing to pass on the biblical deposit to others (2 Tim 2:2).     In a world where we are constantly bombarded with loud messages of despair from the enemy, this book shines a light on the amazing writing of Paul encouraging believers to stand firm wearing the "Armor of God." What I love about this book is not just its theological accuracy and depth, but its practical relevance to living everyday life. Don't just get one copy. Get several and hand them out because everyone you know needs to read this!

    The Armor of God: Standing Firm in Spiritual Warfare, gives you lots of insights and methods of fighting our battle spiritually. I personally learned a lot from this book, the way it was co-related with life examples and support from scriptures. I highly recommend for young fellows because we are in our journey to achieve our dreams and often we don't acknowledge our battle against satan, when we do face the battle we often give up. The author having lots of his experiences and examples and provides biblical methods to face our battles and encourages us to stand firm during trials being fully equipped with our armor provided by God.

    This in depth study on the Armor of God as described in Ephesians 6 will challenge and encourage you. Do you know why the assurance of your salvation is so important? Why truth crucial to our spiritual survival? What does praying in the Spirit mean? If you desire the answers to these important questions, read this book. You won't be disappointed. Gregory Brown's humble, yet exhaustive approach to understanding the Armor of God is a great add to any Christian's library, no matter where God has positioned you in this spiritual battle we all face.

    Spiritual warfare is not very popular in our times.

    Christians who talk about it are seen as fundamentalist ranking on the same level as Islamists.

    There are Christians who suspect demons behind every corner and blame them for ereything that doesn't work out as they think it should.

    Others totally ignore Satan and his fallen angels as non-existant.

    But "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Eph. 6:12).

    What we need is sober-mindedness. We must recognize that Satan is real. That's no reason to live in fear, but we need to be aware of the ongoing battle and we need to be prepared.

    If you don't know how this little book is a profound biblically based help.
    With its questions at the end of every chapter it is a valuable guide in small groups.

    The author sent me a free copy and I'm glad to help spread the word.

    If you are looking to thoroughly understand the Armor of God and how to apply it to your life, you need to pick this book up. I appreciated that this book was organized in such a way that I was able to get a good read through of all of the pieces of the armor of God, or even just turn to sections I wanted to study more specifically. Each chapter has great application questions to engage the reader in deep thought about his or her own personal life. After reading this book, I could definitely see the spiritual battles I was facing, but I better understood how to ware the full armor of God to fight against Satan's attacks. It is a great read and an essential book, especially for young christian adults!

    For anyone interested in going on the offensive and fighting the good fight of faith by putting on God's armor/power and avoiding anything that might resemble a "powerless Christianity", Dr. Greg Brown's book, "The Armor of God", would be very helpful. In his book, Brown encourages believers to be prepared for battle. He teaches believers both how to stand firm and how to fight. Brown believes Christians can fight the good fight with joy simply by putting on God's armor/power (The belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, footwear of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the spirit) and he reminds us how prayer (being in constant prayer) is the most important piece of armor we have. Brown's books are easy to read but full of insight and wisdom.

    Is the armor of God essential? Gregory Brown answers with a resounding yes! "The Armor of God: Standing Firm is Spiritual Warfare" is a straightforward Biblical study that hits the mark. We have an enemy, and his goal is to destroy. Foolish is the man who enters battle without the weapons and protection provided by his Master. But this study goes beyond spiritual warfare, it sheds light on how and why one needs to stand firm in the victories won.

    Time given to personal devotions or group studies will reap a beneficial harvest from this guide. The author's examination of each piece of armor found in Ephesians 6:10-20 will leave the reader with an understanding of their necessity. His reasoning for constant immersion in scripture and prayer will encourage those who know Christ but have lost their way. His clear presentation of the gospel will offer hope to those who realize they are walking in darkness.

    Take your time with this one and consider the Biblical truths shared; spiritual growth will result.

    I found this book a wonderful mix of spiritual warfare and the armor. It was so well written and simple with the perfect verses to highlight his points.

    I enjoyed looking up and cross referencing the verses and adding notes and seeing how the Spirit was lighting up different new things for me as I read.

    If you want a really readable book on the Armor of God and a glimpse of Spiritual warfare this is a great book I highly recommend!
    Be prepared to have your mind pricked and your soul stirred.
