About the Author

M A Comley is the NY Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Justice series. Who also writes the Hero, Intention, Temptation and DI Sally Parker thriller series. An avid reader of crime novels since the age of thirteen. Tara Lyons - at the age of 30, I decided to fulfill my life long dream of becoming a writer. Thanks to some amazing people in my life, I've had the chance to make that a reality. I'm looking forward to releasing my first novel, In The Shadows in February/March 2016. When I'm not writing you'll find me in a near-by Wacky Warehouse stuck in the ball-pit with my son. I have a deep love for reading and chocolate peanuts (preferably at the same time with a cuppa).

DI Angie Norths first day on the job managing The Organised Crime Team starts off with the investigation of a robbery and murder...Angie's team have all got experiences in the force ,this is the making of a good team..The original investigation had been with another team...after going back to question neighbours Angie is convinced they are on to something here...Then there is another murder ...more brutal than the first ...Angie knows that whoever is doing the killings is spiralling out of control.Meanwhile a gang boss is busy at work organising his next move ...his team too is strong apart from an upstart who he's a bit unsure of...As the team gathers all the information they can...They realise that to catch a killer ...they need to put the bait out there ....putting one of them in mortal danger..This killer has no fear...no qualms about murder and before long he will strike again.....Angie North is a strong leader.... Will they trap a killer...catch a gang leader.. ? Couldn't put this down...a fast paced ...chilling read that will have you on tenderhooks...an ending that will have your mind twirling round ....and around...Two authors .. one Amazing read..

I've read most of MA Comley's books and love them, particularly the Justice books and the Sally Parker series. I was therefore interested to see how a new series with her involvement would pan out, and Tara Lyons was a new name to me.
I really enjoyed the story, angie a DI starting her new role as a the leader of a new serious and organised crime team lands her first case while still getting to know her colleagues and if a tough case. I liked how we got to know aAngie's team as she did herself and the characters felt real and likeable... except for the bad ones obviously! Angie's home life gave us a background in to her character and I liked that it was fairly normal, no traumatic events in her past, alcohol abuse, disfunctional love life and stuff like that that often crop up in lead ditectives of crime novels.
The only slight issue I had with the book is that i found one aspect of the plot hard to believe in, particularly given that the team were all strangers so Angie wouldn't have any real insight in to their individual skills so the under cover scinario didn't really work for me. overall though I enjoyed the book and await book 2 with interest.
Thanks to Mel for an advance copy of The Caller in exchange for an honest review.

What a brilliant book by Ms Comley & Ms Lyons. I loved it and read it in one sitting. This is Book 1 in the series about the Organised Crime Team who are based in London and led by DI Angie North. We are introduced to all the team and the parts they all play in the unit. At times I actually felt I was there with them all so real were the characters portrayed. I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this book from the authors in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book in a new series following Angie North and her team who are part of the new Organised Crime Team brought together to crack crime on the streets of London. It's the second book co-written by these two talented authors and it's even better than their first. It's a very well written story that draws you in from the first page and keeps you on tenterhooks right through to the last page. I started and finished it within a day.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in this series. Thank you to Mel and Tara for the opportunity.

I absolutely loved this book. I had no intentions of sitting and reading it in one go but had no choice really, it took over my day.
Angie North starts a new job as head of the Organised Crime Unit and we gradually learn all about her new teams personalities and their strengths and weaknesses as they begin an investigation into a series of burglaries which result in murders being committed. After an explosive opening chapter, I defy anyone being able to put this book down. There are parts where I literally couldn't catch my breathe, I couldn't read it fast enough.
Congratulations to the authors and I hope this is just the start of the series, can't wait to read more of Angie and her team.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Loved all the characters. The whole story was a fast paced guessing what would happen. There are many excellent writers out there, and I read most of them. This author is up there amongst them. Can't wait for more from the organised crime team.

A very fast paced thriller, lead by DI Angie North of The Organised Crime. This book kept me engrossed from start to finish and I loved getting to know all the different members of her new team, their work ethos and their family backgrounds. The fact that this book was written together by two different authors made me a bit wary at first but I needn't have been concerned as the storyline gelled well. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves books that you just can't put down !!!!

I would like to thank the authors for giving me an ARC in return for an honest and open review.
I have read books written by Mel Comley and Tara Lyons writing on their own and thoroughly enjoyed them.
I must admit to being slightly apprehensive before reading this as I wasn't sure that two authors writing one book would work. I needn't have worried. It worked brilliantly. There is no way that you can tell as their writing fits together seamlessly.
If you want an edge-of-your-seat thriller that you won't be able to put down I highly recommend this.
I look forward to reading many more books in this series.

The first gripping book in The Organised Crime Team series by NY Times bestselling author of the Justice series, M A Comley and co-author Tara Lyons, author of In The Shadows.

When The Caller rings... what would you do?

The Organised Crime Team is a newly-formed unit with one of the toughest tasks in London. Led by DI Angie North, their first investigation is a cold case that has foxed several officers in the Met for months.

After Angie holds a TV appeal regarding the case, a number of similar aggressive attacks are brought to her attention. The team call on their contacts on the street for help. Their interest is sparked when several local names surface.

To bring the criminals to justice a member of the Organised Crime Team is asked to risk their life in a dangerous covert operation.

    My Review

I have read books by both of these wonderful authors. M A Comley the prolific author of the Justice Series one of the best series I have had the chance to read. Tara Lyons is an author who had her debut novel In The Shadows make chills go onto my skin.

Having read both of these authors who had different styles of writing I can see a huge chance that one could have easily been swallowed up by the other. What really made this book so great was the fact that the authors combined their styles into a seamless mesh where you couldn’t tell where one ended and the other began.

The main character Angie is a very powerful character who has both strengths and weaknesses. I like the fact that she worked hard for her position and still has the strong family connection.

The team was interesting and didn’t work out from the first part. It was very realistic as you know when a new group comes to work together it won’t be that easy to do things from the start. They were jockeying for position and to find out who they were in this group of detectives.

A well written novel that still gives me the chills just thinking about it. It was lifelike in so many ways and the characters were just superb. I am very pleased to have received an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but I was pleasantly surprised to see such wonderful characters that will grow with this series. I am really looking forward to more about the Organized Crime Team as it shows so much potential from the very start.

After reading part of the Justice Series as well as the Hero stories by M A Comley and In the Shadows by Tara Lyons I have realized that the partnership is one of the best collaborations that could be. To write with another person must be very difficult as your style could easily be consumed. In this case I didn’t see that it was a partnership that meshed the best from both of the authors. It is wonderful to see this duo grow into their writing as a team. When I look at how wonderful this book was I see a lot of positive points.

The strength of the characters was great to see including the fact that the main character is a woman who can hold her own in any situation but still remains a quality of femininity. Angie North is very powerful in her own right but also knows she can’t do it all herself. I like that she has a strong support system to ensure that she doesn’t fall flat on her face.
