Mr 303: The Virus (A Dystopian Nightmare Book 1) Kindle Edition
A seemingly simple virus slowly sweeps the globe.
Bella is an Australian student at Oxford University who meets Mr 303 for the first time. When she is wrongfully arrested in Amsterdam, he comes to her rescue and takes her to Australia, just as the deadly virus begins to take hold on the world population. Will they be safe in the outback?
Herbie reunites with his childhood sweetheart after many years, but the virus suddenly threatens to take her away again.
Sian is the queen of pop and at the top of her game; she is used to getting her way and being in control. When the virus kills all those around her, she is left to fend for herself and she realises that she doesn't know how.
Chris thinks the end of the world might not be a bad thing, especially when he finds himself stranded in Italy with a woman who loves to cook. Problem is, she doesn't speak English and he doesn't speak Italian.
As the virus decimates the world population, 10% of the population are left to pick up the pieces. But what is left? Can they survive alone and without the infrastructure they're so accustomed to?
Mr 303 is part 1 of 2 books in the series titled 'A Dystopian Nightmare'.

About the author

Fox Emerson weaves tales drawing inspiration from a unique blend of experiences. As an accomplished author, ghostwriter, and tech-savvy enthusiast, his vision is deeply rooted in crafting a more equitable world. From the heart of London, his stories traverse genres from dystopian nightmares to passionate LGBTQ romances.
An early seed of creativity was planted when, as a child, his mother whimsically warned of moths as celestial spies observing mankind. This intriguing notion ignited a fire in his imagination, the flames of which burn in his works today.
While Fox's earlier tales were edgy blends of sensuality, grit, and emotional depth, his narratives have evolved, mirroring his own journey. But one thing remains unchanged: his playful vigilance against those ever-watchful moths from his childhood tales.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 May 2016Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseVery impressed with this second book and more my style than Monique
The story is about Bella, who after meeting Mr 303, ends up in Amsterdam and in alot of trouble. Luckily, Mr 303 saves her and takes her to Australia to recover.
There's a few different stories which are intertwined in the book; all of them experiencing the outbreak of a superflu which seems to be killing everyone.
It's written really well and I found the characters very likeable. Looking forward to the next book Toby and see if he can pull that one off!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2022Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseWell worth reading not the usual fighting to survive the apocalypse book. Now looking for more of the same. Give it a try
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 April 2016Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseBrialliant!
Fast paced, believable and well written.
A group of survivors who are spread around the world find themselves in an eerie and very different society.
Having read the author's previous book, i wasn't sure if an apocalyptic tale would work as well.
It has and I'm glad i read it.
The virus itself was believable and I did find myself thinking that it is all very possible.
Very much looking forward to part two Fox Emerson.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 December 2016Format: Kindle EditionI really enjoyed the second half of this book, but the first half kind of dragged a bit. I love having a back story to the characters because it makes you care about them, but I felt there was a bit too much in this book. I just kept waiting for something to happen. That being said it was worth reading the first half to get to the good stuff and I will definitely be reading book 2 :)

Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed the characters in this book, such a variety of different people all starting to come together during the grips of this global epidemic.
I'm really looking forward to the release of part 2. Will Susan and Janice find a cure for this super virus?

4.0 out of 5 stars Realism in the Apocalypse
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed Mr 303.
It has, to me anyway, the feel of a slightly more adult story of "The Last Tribe," "The Hoffman Plague" or the "After Everyone Died" books. Since these are some of my many times read favourites I was very satisfied.
If you're looking for mindless Blood, Gun and Porn Porn you'll be dissatisfied.
If you're after a scarily authentic story of how a realistic apocalypse affects real and authentic people it may be a book for you.

Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis is the second book I've read by this author. The story is very different to his first and I felt captivated by the story. The characters were very believable and relatable. I even found myself a little spooked when I was out and there wasn't anyone around. Very well written and engaging. Very excited to see what book 2 will be like.
