Retribution Kindle Edition
The monsters of my father’s world weren’t ever supposed to enter mine. I was safe from them. Untouchable.
Adam swept into my life on a whirlwind, a dark knight, a predator stalking its prey. He’d been hiding in the shadows all along. Waiting for me to fall into his trap.
And I fell.
I fell hard.
Adam
This wasn’t ever supposed to be about her. She wasn’t ever supposed to matter. Her father needed to pay for what he’d done and there was one sure way to do it.
Take what he loved best.
Break it.
Break her.
I just didn’t realize that in the process of destroying the girl, I’d destroy myself.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 January 2016Not as dark a many other books I've read but it did have certain elements that put it into that category
Underneath that this was a love story that developed between the 2 main characters that I thought was beautiful.
The author really captured the feelings that both Adam and Elle were experiencing during the intense moments of the story that you could relate to both of them and sympathize with their positions especially Adam's , when he was fighting with his internal demons.
I loved this book and would highly recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2016I don't read a lot of dark romance, but there was something about this book which caught my attention. And, I'm glad that I didn't pass this one up based on genre.
I should say that I don't think that this is pushing at the extreme's of the dark genre. And, whilst it was a little uncomfortable to read at times, it was a darkly compelling read. I confess that when I had to put down my kindle to get some sleep, I was still itching to read it. The author succeeding in creating characters and a relationship between them that I was invested in.
The one criticism that I do have about this is that for me, the ending felt a little rushed, a little forced, perhaps not as organic as the rest of the story. And although the ultimate resolution was satisfying, that point is reflected in my rating.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 May 2016Fantastic book. Kept my gripped as I devoured the story. I couldn't turn the page fast enough. Definitely going on my favourites shelf!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 March 2016I'm not too sure about this book. It had great potential & to be fair wasn't a bad novel. However it didn't fully deliver for me. I can't quite put my finger on what didn't work. Both the main characters were strong, but I don't think either were particularly attractive. Elle knew her father dealt in illegal businesses but chose to turn a blind eye. Adam on the other hand was so obsessed with vengeance that it screwed with his mind & ability to think clearly.
I found the middle a bit slow, which didn't help with my overall enjoyment. I love dark romances & have read loads. I wouldn't class this as a dark book.
I've read some of Natasha's books which I enjoyed, so although this one wasn't one of her best, I will still be looking out for more in the future.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 December 2016Really liked this book . The story was a little bit dark but not too bad . It was a space Turner wanting to know how it was all going to unfold . If you like a little dark. Then this is a good story to read .

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome read
The first book I read was Salvatore and I'm hooked. Dominic was dark and intense. Retribution was an emotional roller coaster. I want to hate Adam but it's impossible. Loved the read.

Another wonderfully written novel by Natasha Knight... thrilling, raw and dark but with a beautiful HEA at the end. Once you start reading her novels you get engrossed in them....

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark and passionate, gut-wrenching and painful, with an ultimate message of hope and redemption. Well done!
Wow. This book is the epitome of a well-written, dark romance. And by "dark" I don't mean a little non-con spanking and angst. This is a book that delves right into the psyche of a man who's so broken, and who does such brutal things, that he doesn't deserve forgiveness -- but he gets it anyway, from a woman who has the strength to help him heal, and who believes that forgiving him is the best way to save her own soul from the darkness.
Natasha has a talent for writing this kind of character -- a person who goes so far beyond the line of what's acceptable that he seems barely salvageable, and then she rescues him from the prison of his mind and has him redeem himself. And the partner to this man is a woman who is able to forgive the unforgivable and help them both move from pain to love.
It's a very difficult genre story to write, and it fails in the hands of most other writers who attempt this literary tightrope, but Natasha doesn't fall. She delivers a story that's gut-wrenching and painful to read at times, but delivers a positive message at the end: No matter how messed up the world is, there is always a chance to make it right again. Love really can conquer all.
So be warned, this book is NOT for the faint-hearted. If you're afraid of non-consensual BDSM and capture fantasy, this isn't for you. But if you love a shivery, dark story, this book will take you to the heights of despair and passion both. Well done, Natasha!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars for Adam and Elle
Adam and Elle's story was something very different to what I was expecting. It is definitely a dark read, and I got the feeling of a bit of Stockholm Syndrome at times. There were things about this book that I loved and hated, but overall I have to give it five stars because Natasha Knight has such a way with words, crafting them beautifully together into what is a dark, sexy, twisted, and HEA read. Definitely looking forward to reading more from Natasha.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good
Love all this authors stories. Each one is unique and so incredibly sexy. Taboo and dark moments. Followed by redemption and love.
