I flew through this book, fair warning there is a bit of a cliffhangar at the end so you will want to keep going with the series! I loved it, I listened to this one as an audiobook as it is currently included on the plus catalogue. It’s an easy listen, I can’t figure Henry out. The more I learn about him, the less I like him but damn I’m hooked still. Abbi is the naive red riding hook taken in by the big bad wolf and he is devouring her whole! 😉

    I loved this series and binged it, which I haven't done for a while. I was not ready to leave these characters or the world. Such engaging and beautiful storytelling. And lots of spice. It's the first of the books I've read by this author so hopefully some of the characters feature in other series or will be getting their own books. Off to explore more now!

    Well this read was great, I liked the idea of a small town girl falling for the older boss. Abbi is hurt after finding her fiancé cheating on her. His excuse is poor but what's worse is everybody in her home town still thinks he'll go back to her once it's out of his system but is that what she wants? Unfortunately an overbearing mother and the town gossips are making it difficult for her to move on, so getting a summer job working in Alaska couldn't have come at a better time. Abbi hasn't really experienced anything in life so meeting Henry Wolf opens her eyes to so much. Henry comes across as cold, arrogant and not somebody to mess with but when they're alone he shows her his other side making Abbi start to feel things that she hasn't before even with Jed, but it can't last, can it?
    I actually loved this book and was disappointed that the next isn't available yet. The story, plot and characters are good. The descriptions are in depth, you kind of feel like you're there and I wished I was. The chemistry is obvious between Abbi and Henry but it's a slow burn. There is lots of angst, and although it's not a love thing Yet, the sex is hot and you see a side of Henry when he's with Abbi that makes you think he could fall. I would recommend this book but I may suggest waiting for the series as I'm disappointed now that I have to wait.

    I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick enjoyable read with great characters and a good story.

    Abi was a good character. She’s innocent and naive, and finds herself working for Henry Wolf after having her heart broken. I love seeing her thoughts as she gets to know Henry and her feelings growing towards him. I think she needs this escape from her life at home, especially with her mum shoving her ex gone her throat. She needs to move on from that d*ck.

    Henry is great. He comes across as a typical playboy rich billionaire, but behind closed doors with Abi, there was a vulnerable side of him. He was soft and sweet at times, and then he used her. It’s hard to know what his feelings truly are at the moment. Is he just using her or does he genuinely care? I’m looking forward to reading the next book and seeing more.

    They story is good although it is heavy on the relationship between them both. I’m intrigued to see what Abi will do about what she read at the end and what the truth is behind it. In the scenes between them we hot and there was definitely a spark between them, so I’m hoping that his feelings are real.

    Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it.

    Henry and Abbi's story surprised me.

    I really enjoyed the authors' writing style and the progression of their journey. I feel like it was fleshed out well with enough of each of them to get a feel of who they are without giving us everything all at once.
    That being said, I didn't read the blurb because this was a random pick read for me, so I didn't know it's not one complete story. Which changes things I was frustrated with, especially with the characters.

    Abbi is young, sweet, and innocent. The girl grew up going to church with the dream of marrying her pastors son which was very much the trajectory of her life until he stepped out on her in the name of wanting experience with the expectation of her waiting and saving her virtue for him. Gross. What a vile man.
    Abbi is sweet and likeable but reads very nieve, and it was cute at first, but then I was just frustrated that she didn't stand for herself to everyone who put her down. It's why I don't normally read characters like her because she did stay true to her character, but I could not help but resent her for not telling them all to get gone.

    Henry has 2829 personalities. He's gorgeous, a weapon, really. Upon first meeting, he's attentive, amused, and gorgeous. But as the story develops he's secretive and very selfish with what he wants knowing full well he welds the power and Abbi is too clueless to see she's like a puppet. There are moments where I loved him and the attentive sweet side he showed her. And honestly I love the alpha a hole moments too but there are times where he frustrated me with his cold shoulder knowing what he knew about the woman he was playing like a fiddle.

    I'm conflicted because this story is not done so I'm invested in what's to come to see if they come into their own a little more.. the chemistry is undeniable with a connection that blossomed through the pages. But also both characters frustrated me beyond belief!! Especially towards the end.

    I'm going into book two so we shall see where it takes me. I struggle with reviews when the story isn't finished because I don't have all the pieces and my mind feels like a war room stuck in limbo right now.

    Oooohhh this was a surprise read for me (When I downloaded it to my kindle I thought it was something completely different) I devoured it in one sitting while I was waiting on a delayed flight and I'm really looking forward to the next in the series.

    This one is for you if you like emotionally unavailable billionaire men with family issues and sweet virgin farm girls who don't realise they're beautiful. (The spice is great!) I'm currently adoring Abbi and want to kick Henry in his nether regions but I have a feeling I'm suppose to feel that way until the next book!
