About the author

Loretta Livingstone is a British author, who lives with her husband in a beautiful area of the Chilterns. She has written fiction and poetry collections.
Her first foray into the world of fiction was her novelette, Where Angels Tread - a story about a young homeless girl. All proceeds from this book are donated to a charity for the homeless.
She never intended to write historical fiction. She stated it quite clearly on social media - only to find herself writing...historical fiction.
Loretta's most recently published book is Blossom on the Thorn - the third tale in her medieval timeslip series. Out of Time, her first novel, was shortlisted for the 2016 Historical Novel Society Indie Award. All her novels are stand-alone stories.
She's hoping to be able to work on books 4, 5 and 6 in the series again soon, alhough health problems have meant taking a break for a while. She suffers from M.E. which means she can't work as fast as she would like.
Loretta says of her work, "Above all, I want to leave my readers with smiles on their faces."
You can follow Loretta on GoodReads, where she has an author profile or join her group on Facebook to keep up with any news.

5.0 out of 5 stars Three for Halloween is definitely a treat.
What a wonderful Halloween treat. These three stories are well-written and fun and play on just how deceptive this holiday can be. The last one was my favorite, but I enjoyed all three. The author's writing makes it easy to relate to the characters. The stories capture the atmosphere of Halloween perfectly and are quite visual. It's easy to see the events as they are happening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Ready for Halloween!!!
This is what it is, as in, three short stories about Halloween. The finale was my favorite. I didn't see the end coming. Very fun to read and get me in the mood for dressing up!

2.0 out of 5 stars Short & Unspooky
I snagged this a year ago during the Black Friday sale and kind of forgot about it until I was scanning through what books are going to be in this upcoming sale.
At 16 pages, this was a very easy book to buzz through. However, the stories weren't for me. One of them had a bit of dark humor that I'm pretty sure, if it happened, would be illegal. None of them were scary or creepy.
Overall, 2 stars. If you need a quick taste of Halloween, you might like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars 2 I liked; 1 I didn't.
TRICK OR TREAT: This was a fun little story about a boy who wanted to go to a Halloween party but couldn't because he had to take his little sister trick or treating. If only she would get tired of it and want to go home.....
MISS BLACK’S HAPPIEST HALLOWE'EN: "Claudia Black hated Hallowe’en with all her heart." Stuart (on the other hand) loved it: he loved causing trouble. Well, this year things will be different: Claudia is going to change things up a bit.
HALLOWE’EN PARTY: I didn't really like this one: I was bored and kept wanting it to end. It is about an alien who was checking out the planet to determine whether or not his people would be making first contact. He definitely did not understand the concept of the Halloween party.... (I DID enjoy seeing how his visit to Earth finally came to an end.)
