New dreams could make their wishes come true but only if they survive her stalker. Nice twist at the end.

    Another action packed read. I seem to be reading this series out of order - first bk , got me hooked, now back to bk 1, and from here on I'll move forward in order. I must say the series was brilliant by bk 6 - and even in bk 1 you can feel the potential. I really do love the way the author starts off which the essence of the men doing what they are trained for, before the horror, the loyalty and the friendships formed. After a devastating period in their lives, they learn to move forwards, adapt and love life in all manner of ways. This author throws everything into the pot, gives it a stir, then leave us, the reader to savor the treat. Well worth a read.

    This book is basically a second chance romance about high school sweethearts separating to pursue very different careers. He becomes a Navy Seal and she a Hollywood movie star. Over a decade later their paths cross again in their hometown of Montana.
    She's having a break and visiting her married brother at the family ranch besides hiding from an obsessed fan. He on the other hand is on a medical discharge and sort of appoints himself as her bodyguard.
    Although it flowed steadily enough I found it too tame and clean, almost old fashioned in its execution. It did heat up some around 60%, where they both relinquished their pent up passion.
    The mystery of her stalker wasn't such a great mystery as it happened. An ok read, that finished at 87%.

    This was the first book that I've read by this author, and I'm glad I pucked it up now. The setting, the characters, the twist, I loved it. It's a second chance romance between a big actor and injured SEAL. The way they get flung back I to each others arms was interesting. They had to over come a threat to Sadie, but it left her full family in danger. I'm glad it got the ending it did, and I look forward to book 2.

Her mastery of literary devices such as, characterization, dialog, dual POV, and descriptive language garnered my attention from the get-go. The scenes where the couple work together to identify the person behind the threats to Sadie’s life are riveting. As this is the first book in this series, Ms. James presents a historical foundation for the basis of the rest of series. Readers learn the events that transpired that caused Hank to establish his protection agency. What is missing is how Hank and Sadie embrace age-play. Nevertheless, Ms. St. James did not disappoint me with this book. In fact, the opposite is true. I so wanted to read more about the other members of the brotherhood.

Meanwhile his first love, who has become a movie star, has come home to Montana to rest and recover from the stressors of her life. They meet again following a shooting where his father is injured. Sparks fly and our couple must make some decisions on their individual futures and possibly a joint one.

    It becomes obvious that someone is intent on harming the starlet, and some near misses occur before the drama unfolds.

    I enjoyed reading this story, and look forward to others in the series. Ms James always carries me along with her storylines as they are woven with mystery and romance.

    Great action packed adventure that took in all elements, with vivid descriptions of each scene. Elle James created an interesting story of an injured Navy Seal contemplating his future with the military, trying to decide if he wanted to continue or move on to something else. When his past love (who never left his heart) needs a bodyguard, Hank steps in.

    The first half of Montana Seal was great! Lots of action, mystery and romantic tingles. Gosh! How I love those tingles! The very last portion of the book when everything comes to a head (no spoilers here) was also very exciting and well written. In between the first and the last parts... well...I have no objections to the sex scenes, but be warned that there are indeed some rather intense sex scenes. Those sex scenes, however, may have been a bit too much all lumped together, one right after the next. Just my opinion! Even with that, I truly enjoyed the book and love this author's writing. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series or checking out other books by Elle James.

    On a side note, this was not a very long book. A bit less than 200 pages, and can be read in a short amount of time.
