Katie Wyatt is 25% American Sioux Indian. Born and raised in Arizona, she has traveled and camped extensively through California, Arizona, Nevada, Mexico, and New Mexico. Looking at the incredible night sky and the giant Saguaro cacti, she has dreamed of what it would be like to live in the early pioneer times.

Spending time with a relative of the great Wyatt Earp, also named Wyatt Earp, Katie was mesmerized and inspired by the stories he told of bygone times. This historical interest in the old West became the inspiration for her Western romance novels.

Her books are a mixture of actual historical facts and events mixed with action and humor, challenges and adventures. The characters in Katie’s clean romance novels draw from her own experiences and are so real that they almost jump off the pages. You feel like you’re walking beside them through all the ups and downs of their lives. As the stories unfold, you’ll find yourself both laughing and crying. The endings will never fail to leave you feeling warm inside.

Well, this was extremely short. Almost like a short story. And really, while the action was interesting, the time frame was short and the characters were not well developed at all. Read the whole thing in about an hour, and I'm not a fast reader. Other than the main character uttering a few prayers, it really doesn't qualify as a Christian novel. I was not impressed.

Nice simple story. Just getting into it and it summarized the ending!
Her new husband was in danger, she saves him and then its two years later.
Really I think the author made a huge error leaving it there, I wanted to know what happened after, getting to know each other, what beau was about, building there lives etc. Summer and beaus characters were just taking form.
Really disappointed as the story held so much promise and didn't deliver.
Finish it please as you have the makings of a cracker here.

I enjoyed this well told short novella, which lets us feel how alone a mail order bride must have been, at the end of the War Between The States. She is heading out to a place between Cheyenne and Laramie - where My Friend Flicka was set - to marry a former soldier she only knows through letters. On her way to the ranch with her new husband, a tornado bears down on their cart.

This is a great romance read and very evocative of the times. I also find that it's suitable for any age of reader. Enjoy.
