Game on Boys 2: Minecraft Madness: A hilarious action adventure chapter book for children (Game on Boys Series) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 437 ratings

There is no charge for Game on Boys 1 and Game on Boys 4, so get them now too!! Game on Boys books can be read in any order.

Kids who love video games, especially Minecraft, will love the hilarious ‘Game on Boys’ series. Designed to appeal to the heart of any boy or girl with its captivating story lines, whacky illustrations and side-splitting humor, as well as lots of awesome gaming content. They won’t want to put it down. Even reluctant readers and grown-ups love the series as well.

Minecraft! Minecraft! Minecraft! That’s all Rino James ever thinks about. That, and his PlayStation. But when he’s not gaming, he’s working hard to get good grades so he can make it into the unreal PlayStation club at school. How many schools get to have a PlayStation club? The problem is, his Mom and Dad have a built in Siri message system to detonate disaster every time things are looking awesome for him.

When best mate, Matthew, announces an all-night, super slayer, smash up gaming party, Rino can’t wait for the weekend.
That’s until something disastrous happens to turn his weekend into a boring, miserable, not to mention, soggy, scrabble marathon with his mind-numbing sister.

What happens at the end is nothing short of devastating and miraculous all in one, when the weekend finishes with a shocking incident that leaves one question on our minds - will Rino survive a real life deathly experience to be able to fight another Minecraft Zombie????

“This book was the best gaming book ever.”
“Five star awesomeness said by grandson.”
“Excellent book for little readers who have been told by school teachers that they need to be reading books that are more challenging.”
“This is the most amazing series I have ever read! I love how you put so much detail into it!”

Girls and grownups will love this book just as much as boys, despite its name.
‘Game on Boys 2 : Minecraft Madness’ is for boys and girls who love playing Minecraft and other video games, and who love reading books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Be prepared for lots of side splitting laughter, but don’t be surprised if you shed the odd tear as well. Don’t forget, the first in the series, ‘Game on Boys: The PlayStation Playoffs’ is still free as an eBook or available in print.

Kate Cullen lives on the glorious Sunshine Coast in Australia by beautiful Golden Beach. She lives with her PlayStation addicted son, her Mine craft addicted daughter, her football addicted husband and a white fluffy thing called Lucy who is the subject of some of her books.

Kate has a background in teaching and nursing but her biggest passions are writing and acting.

As crazy as it sounds, Kate was inspired by her children's love of computer gaming to write humorous books for middle grade kids in an effort to gently lure them away from their consoles, and sway them toward light, humorous, and sometimes wacky books that incorporate just enough elements of the gaming craze to keep them interested.

Judging by some of her reviews below, her goal has been achieved because more and more children who also love gaming are fostering a new found love of reading as well. Look out for Game on Boys 2 very soon!

"5.0 out of 5 stars It was awesome April 26, 2015

It really spoke to me, I can not tell you how many video games ozone on my Xbox, wifi u, and wifi. It was a very good book and I hope a second comes out, in all I love these type of books, 'diary of a wickedly cool witch' and 'game on boys'. It is really awesome when people make entertainment for others as a hobby this book was just plain awesome, 5 star."

"5.0 out of 5 stars My son enjoyed this 1 Mar. 2015

My son is dyslexic and is not a fan of reading but his English teacher told him to try to read more at home. He's a fan of video games so I thought this one would be a good start and he really enjoyed it! So the fact it is a free book and that it got my son reading are both plus points for me. I will look for more books by this author for him."

5.0 out of 5 stars Life is Much More than we Think!
Reviewed in the United States on 23 July 2015
    Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase
Life is more than what we think and this is explained by Kate in this book very interestingly. This book really deserves five start. Let me give the short introduction of story first. Story is based upon everyday reality happening to our young guys who are obsessed by gaming; playstation, xbox and other platforms. Rino and Lisa are totally opposite from each other as Rino is always busy in playing games but forgetting his social life.

So the story turned when Rino has to spend weekend with his family camping in the woods instead of playing games all over the weekend. After that wonderful weekend Rino realized the importance of nature, quality family time and adventurous life outside this gaming world. Please give this book to your children, they will definitely learn a lot and it can change their life. Book is hilarious, emotional and inspirational at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and a quick and easy read
Reviewed in the United States on 2 August 2015

While the author's descriptions are funny and entertaining, the thought processes and the drama throughout the book are very accurate for a boy of about 9-12. With enough detailed references to Minecraft and Playstation to keep video-game-obsessed boys interested, the plot moves very quickly. The main character, a good kid who does his schoolwork, obeys his parents, and follows the rules, is first very upset by a surprise that his dad brings home because it spoils his big plans. But he soon learns the great value in his dad's intentions. Overall, a fun book that will keep kids engaged while teaching them a good lesson.
