About the author

I like to tell stories about people who do incredible things when the world is falling apart all around them. Whether EMP, AI, Zombies, or Alien Invasion, any end-of-the-world/dystopian scenario is the perfect setting for unlikely heroes.
Author of the Fallen Earth Series and The Starborn Saga.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 October 2019I did enjoy this trilogy and I reviewed each part separately, so I will just say that overall, the story is well-written and a little different from the usual zombie genre.
The idea of the Starborns is fascinating and brings new interest to the story as a whole, taking it into the realm of fantasy and science-fiction.
Good characters and reasonable plot with heroes and villains and those in between.
A recommended read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 September 2016A very good slant on a current theme of USA devastation.
There have been many recently that have covered the after events of a major disaster in the USA. This is a great read and have just downloaded the next trilogy to continue the tale.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 April 2016A real page turner, couldn't wait to finish it but didn't want it to end.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2016You have to read all 3 of the books in this trilogy because books 1 and 2 end in a
cliffhanger. However, if you only want to get one set of books, I would recommend that you
skip this one and just read Starborn Uprising, which I thought was much better than this trilogy.
In Uprising (50+ years after these events) you will find out how the virus started, how and why the Greyskins are
manipulated by the evil ruler, how the Starborns work together against that leader, etc. etc.
In Ascension, Waverly and Remi are Starborn with special abilities. Waverley can see glimpses of
the future and Remi can hear sounds from far away, so is able to anticipate what her enemies are plotting.
Because of the views into the future, these books were very repetitive and dragged out. Once when Waverly
sees the future, next when she tells other people what she has seen, then when she worries about what she has
seen and whether she can change the future, and finally when the scene is played out.
Also I disliked the way each character told their story in the first person. I would give this trilogy 5 out of 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good, good, good.
Jeremiah is one creepy man.
From the first book to the last, stick with it. Even if your mind tells you this is another twd. Keep reading, it's a great read and you'll love the characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series and even if could tell early on what was going to happen, this book ticks all the right boxes and makes you want to stay up another hour to see how it will all play out.
Keep writing, sir. I'll be writing whatever is coming around this saga. Sorry for my bad English, it is not my first language.

1.0 out of 5 stars Weird
This book was slow and confusing. At first I thought that Kass had been tricked into thinking that the Archs were good.
Once the fallen came into the picture though things changed.
So, here we have Archs (archangels), Angels, Ascents and the Fallen.
I'm not sure who would like this book. I only know that the fact that the next book is free still didn't tempt me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Zombie Supernatural Dystopian Series
"The Starborn Ascension" trilogy is an entertaining zombie supernatural dystopian series. This edition is really convenient (and end-of-book cliffhangers are no problem) as you have all three books in the series in one volume! I thought the Starborn aspect was a unique idea to put into a zombie apocalypse book. It gave the characters with the powers a little more depth and intrigue versus if they were just normal surviving humans. How the apocalypse started, the people responsible for the virus and the said peoples intensions for the new post-acopalyptic world was done well and didn't seem forced. I would recommend this series to fans of dystopian, zombie and supernatural genres. I look forward to reading the author's "Starborn Uprising" series as well.
