⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"One of the best surprise ending I have read.." - Amazon Vine Voice Reader

The relationships between young and old, sprinkling of romance, small-town warmth, and the cast of unforgettable characters will make
Pineapple Port Mysteries your new favorite series!

Charlotte Morgan isn't your average Pineapple Port 55+ community neighbor. She's 26 years old—adopted by a whole neighborhood of retirees as a child. She's had an unusual upbringing—pickleball instead of proms, golf carts instead of gossip.

Well, that's not true. Pineapple Port has tons of gossip.

Her unusual upbringing has left Charlotte an oddball among her peers, but she's lucky—she has Mariska and Darla, her late grandmother's neighbors, to love and watch over her. Still, lately, she's been feeling restless.

Something's missing.

Is it the human skeleton buried in her garden?

Nope. She just found that.

In an instant, she goes from lonely and bored to trapped in a web of lies. Her neighbors are acting squirrelly, there's a corpse in her garden and a handsome pawnbroker is hovering in the yard...Does he know the dead woman?

And could she have invented a
worst way to make a first impression?

Charlotte's found-family is ready to help her solve the mystery…but there's a problem...

She's starting to think one of
them might be this cold case's killer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman is huge right now, and if you like that you will love Pineapple LIes. Personally, I have to say I enjoyed this even more." - author Tommy Ueland

Throughout the series, you find killers, crazy ex-girlfriends, loving dogs, romance, treasure hunts, government operatives, FBI agents, danger... and a cast of characters almost as funny as they are loving, supportive and brave.

About the Author

Amy has been writing and finding other creative ways to make no money since high school. She specializes in fun, comedic reads about accident prone, easily distracted women with questionable taste in men. So, autobiographies, mostly. Amy is the former East Coast Editor of SURFER Magazine but the urge to drive up and down the coast interviewing surfers has long since left her. Currently, she is a nerd and Labradoodle mommy who works at home with her goofy husband. She has rocked water aerobics at a fifty-five and over community, but has yet to play bingo. She’s heard it’s vicious.

I was a little dubious about this book as I am not a lover of romantic stories, but I do like a good 'who dunnit' and so thought I would give this a try. I am so pleased that I did, because it is fun read, has lots of humour, a plot that keeps you guessing until the end, and thoroughly entertaining and believable characters (it reminded me a little of the TV series 'The Golden Girls'). There is an element of romance, but it does not interfere with the plot. It is an easy read and made me want to keep coming back for more to see what would happen next. I am looking forward to reading more of Amy's work.

I have to say that not having come across Amy Vansant before I found the story to be good in content and humor& similar in style to Debra Burroughs Paradise Mystery stories, I will be looking forward to a follow up.

I enjoyed this book but must admit wasn't to sure on the title so had it in my to be read list a while before I got around to reading it.
Pineapple lies is set in a retirement community, Pineapple port (which is where the title comes from). Even through it is a retirement community the story is set around Charlotte a twenty something female who lives there and the problems she has when she unearths the skeletal remains of a body in her back yard. With the bones being so old, that rules out Charlotte from being the murder but unfortunately everybody she cares about could still be the killer. With help from her surrogate mum's and unwittingly from the sheriff, she soon finds her self adding find killer to chalk board to do list.
With a fun group of characters it was a nice cozy mystery.

I generally don't go for 'romantic comedy' but this was a freebie so gave it a go.
I'm glad I did. the romance wasn't sickly sweet, and parts had me laughing out loud (in a good way)
I loved that the older characters were such fun, in fact I wouldn't mind living in their community when I'm old enough though I wonder would I be able to keep up with them.
the yoga class description had me cry with laughter and keeps me smiling when I think about it.
I look forward to buying the next instalment, but in the meantime bought another of the author's titles in the hope that it is equally entertaining.

Pineapple Lies :A Pineapple Port Mystery Book 1 by Amy Vansant
This is a wonderfully funny novel which I thoroughly enjoyed. Charlotte’s parents died when she was eleven, leaving her to be brought up by her grandmother. One or two problems with that. First problem, grandma lives in an over fifties village, where an eleven year old sticks out like a sore thumb! Second problem, way worse than the first, grandma dies too! Luckily for Charlotte there are two best friends of grandma, Mariska and Darla who take it upon themselves to keep her safely close with them. After growing up with this protective love all around her, Charlotte finally decides she is old enough and moves into grandma’s old home, just across the road from Mariska and not too far from Darla and her Sheriff husband. All the neighbours may be elderly but their hearts are filled with kindness and caring towards Charlotte. This book is so funny I have had pages where I simply can’t stop laughing! I look forward to reading more of Charlotte’s adventures at Pineapple Port. I was given this book but the review is entirely my own. It is a fantastically funny series if they are all like this one! I am glad there are more to read! Amy Vansant is a great writer who keeps the reader smiling throughout her book!

Ottimo

I loved how crazy all the characters were. The mystery was fun & left with questions as soon as a question was answered. My family sisters will have fun with this. I never suspected Harry at all. It deserves every STAR

5.0 out of 5 stars Un moment de fraicheur
Reviewed in France on 27 December 2015
