Regarding Anna Kindle Edition
Things that happen to you in the past can mold you into someone you’re not.
Grace discovers a box in her parents’ attic that contains enough suspicious items to cause her to believe that the people she had called Mom and Dad her whole life may not have been her real parents.
After recovering from the shock of her parents’ deaths, Grace Lindroth is tormented by the uncertainty of her identity and begins an arduous search for answers. When certain clues draw her to a boardinghouse once owned by Anna Vargas, she becomes convinced that Anna was her real mother. She believes the boardinghouse walls have been harboring vital secrets for years, but when she meets up with the cantankerous old woman who had bought the place after Anna’s death, she questions whether she’ll ever be able to peel back all the layers surrounding her parentage.
The lies and deceit that Grace unearths in her pursuit to validate her identity are shocking, complicated, and not all buried in the past. Does this force Grace to back down, or just heighten her determination uncover the whole truth?

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT FLORENCE OSMUND'S BOOKS:
THE RING
Author Florence Osmund has crafted a compelling and emotive work of fiction with plenty of clever twists, intense pacing, and realistic dramatic scene-play to offer its readers. One of the features which I found particularly impressive about this piece was the realism that Osmund brings to her characters in their speech and thought presentation, as well as the descriptive details that underpin the choices they make and what they’re going through. The unraveling plot of the tale itself is exciting and intriguing, but so are Jessivel and Paige as women in their own right, which makes the reading experience feel all the more atmospheric. The dialogue was also highly effective, serving to display the unique traits of the characters whilst moving the plot forward in a natural way. Overall, I would highly recommend The Ring to fans of tense emotional dramas, cinematic and emotive writing styles, and for readers of accomplished literary fiction everywhere.

NINETEEN HUNDRED DAYS
This story was compelling for a number of reasons. Florence Osmund has done an amazing job of building the scenarios that rushed through this young boy’s head and getting the reader to become invested in the two characters and, more importantly, in their survival. This story pulls at the heartstrings but it is very much character-driven as the author allows us into the center of the dilemmas faced by Ben as he seeks to be the “adult” in the situation.

THEY CALLED ME MARGARET
An enjoyable read for those lazy summer afternoons and low-key winter nights. The chapters fly by as the plots are followed to the final, unusual reveal.

LIVING WITH MARKUS
I loved LIVING WITH MARKUS. The characters, even the young boys, are complicated and believable, and the plot’s complexity allows the reader to see the characters from a myriad of angles.

REGARDING ANNA is an intelligent read, with a lot of heart and a dose of humor. Osmund is a master at weaving complicated, unexpected plot developments and twists and turns that readers just don't see coming.

RED CLOVER is a beautiful moving story that gently absorbs you into the lives of the characters.

DAUGHTERS. Civil rights, gender roles, and political postures are carefully, realistically, and sensitively present in this story.

THE COACH HOUSE is a superbly written book that will leave the reader thinking about relationships, adversity, independence and growth, and prejudices.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 November 2015Goodness me what an odd book, and what a lot of it there is. The plot - the search to determine whether Anna is her mother - is complicated but episodic. I get the impression that the author had a lot of different bits which she kept cutting up and shuffling about. The result is rather jerky, and lacks pace. It seems to start in the middle and it takes a while to figure out what is going on.
I did keep reading as I wanted to find out how the mystery panned out, so to be fair the overall story held my interest, even though I kept getting the impression I was reading the same bit over and over again. Alas the ending is the most awful tosh, leaving this reader disappointed and annoyed that I had wasted so much time on a book that really didn't go anywhere.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2016i do like to find a book that is a bit different from the usual modern mystery/thriller type offerings, and this is one of those. It has a few different stories running through it, so you need to put in a bit of effort, but it is well worth it. A couple of clever twists, and I had just about solved it all when the truth came out. I would recommend.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 May 2017I really enjoyed this book. The author is always a step ahead with the plot which climaxes at the end of the book in twists and turns that have been cleverly engineered. I was so keen to find out'what happens next' that I've been sitting here for the past hour an a half when I should have been cleaning my house!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 March 2016A light hearted story about a PI whose main case is her own to try and trace her roots. Having lost her parents years before in a tragic accident- she sets out to find out who she is.
Was it an accident? Who was her mother? Not the one she thought. Who was the man she shared an office with? Not the man she thought he was.
Gracie finds more than facts in this tale of the twists that life can take, and that there is good in most people. A very good friend is found in the most unlikely of circumstances.
Poignant and thoughtful, a heart-warming tale. One that keeps you engrossed to the very end.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2015Like other reviewers, I found this book, the story of a young lady who got her private investigators' licence in order to find out who her real mother was, very convoluted with many strings throughout, and loose ends left behind at the end. It wasn't hard to guess how the story would pan out in most respects, but the tale was rather hard to credit in many places. I think the author had the ideas, wrote them down and then 'embroidered' them before cobbling the whole together. A few things stretched the imagination beyond belief- severe spina bifida not noticed at birth, feeling sorry for the man who killed her parents and treated her very badly indeed.?? All that money from the Irish sweepstake she wouldn't spend but did nothing to trace the relatives of the original owner? It was in many ways a strange book but I did finish it and the spelling and grammar for the most part , were fine -she had a good proof-reader - even if her editor didn't get her to tighten the storyline as it badly needed some attention! Wouldn't bother with anything else by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing read
When i started, i did not know what to expect. The more I read, the more I wanted it to carry on. The Resolution to the puzzle was unexpected at times, but believable. A worthwhile read!

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely read!
This is an extraordinary tale of lost and found love, family and friends. It's not easy to put it down. All the twists and turns keep you guessing till the end. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about how different people /situations /past can affect your future. This story will touch your heart. I Liked the way the characters are portrayed, they aren't entirely black or white and there is a strong reason for their behaviour. The plot is tightly bound, without any loose ends.

5.0 out of 5 stars great find
Excellent story, well-written, best read of 2017 so far. I read a great deal, and was ambivalent about this choice even after reading the beginning pages, yet something drew me to continue. I'd forgotten that many of my favorite books have started a bit slow or uninteresting, not grabbing me by my throat, hooked by what turned out to be forgettable stories. While I knew what would be discovered, it was like enjoying watching someone paint a picture knowing the outcome as paint is swept upon a canvas or a knitter turns yarn into the garment seen in a photo. I only wish more authors were as good at their craft. My only criticism is that the epilogue was a bit anti-climatic and unlike the rest of the book a little more preachy/political than the rest of the book. But like someone dressing their firstborn, the infant girl with the too big bow, it's forgivable. I recommend this book and look forward to more of this author's work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Colpi di scena senza fine
E' una storia che lascia senza fiato, che ho letto quasi senza interruzione, perché ti tiene incollata al kindle e il finale è, per me, assolutamente imprevedibile.
