A great read. It's a slow start, However it's the best start as it gets deeper and deeper in to the book. I actually find it really hard to put down as it got me hooked straight away with it's dark path and twists and turns.

I will recommend this to anyone who loves a good thriller.

This is a story of several unsavoury characters, most of whom need psychiatric treatment. I found it hard to feel empathy with any of them. Just the point, I guess.

Chris is engaged to Jill, but is he the man he seems to be? Jacob is a psychotic killer, with a score to settle. In doing so, a number of people die, in bloodthirsty detail.

This is basically a horror story, so if you like gory details and characters that should really be put out of their misery, you’ll love it.

Not light reading. Events play out from individuals point of view. Characters painted into the plot with overlaps. Final chapter!

Not impressed with the book. Found the theme rather weak and tedious, did not bother finish reading it.

If you are not such a fan of blood and violence, do not dare to start reading this book. I admit that several times I couldn't continue reading when the pace is starting to get slow and even sower, but I guess that's part of the author to build up the tension. Taking angle from multiple characters is very smart. It makes the story is unpredictable and keeps the fun. Writing too detail can be both good and bad. As for me, I like detail in things, and, in Hide and Seek, some of the scenes are so vivid that I could almost taste and smell what the main characters do. But going too detail can be dangerous most of the time as it bores readers.

This one took a little while to get going, I found the lengthy descriptions somewhat pointless, but if you persevere, the last 15% goes off like a rocket. A very graphic bloody rocket.
As the blurb says, it's told from several points of view, and the way it swaps around between them and in time takes a little getting used to, particularly as the same scene is viewed from different perspectives on several occasions. It could do with tightening up to increase the suspense, but it's a decent yarn for fans of of the serial killer genre.

5.0 out of 5 stars hide and Go Seek will keep you on the edge of your seat Thank You Mr. Kevin Patel

Very well done mystery. I truly enjoyed this book. The twists and turns add to the excitement. Although we do not know in the beginning of the book who the killer is? The author Kevin Patel leads us on the adventure and shows us just how the characters have a depth that we come to acknowledge. It has a surprise ending, and I did not put it down until the end. Murder mystery readers will love this novel. Well developed plot that keeps the reader engaged. Just when I thought I knew who the killer was, the plot thickened. Pay attention and you will see that the author knows how to show the story. Can't wait for the next novel by this author. Keep up the good work Mr. Patel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting but...

I found this book interesting, but to be honest, there is something missing... I couldn't say what. The book feels more like a good student's paper than the work of someone who is passionate about his subject.

Reviewed in the United States on 21 April 2015
"Hide and Go Seek" uses a unique plot device on the serial killer genre in that the story is told from the point of view of 5 different characters. It definitely brings a level of freshness that has been seen in a long time. The story is fast paced, exciting, like I said earlier, the plot is original and keeps your attention. The characters are very well developed and engage the reader, I was very impressed with this novel and I am sure Kevin Patel will bring us many more excellent and exciting thrillers.

It was painfully slow. And I'm still not sure what happened at the end.

This is a dark and thrilling novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Personally I liked that the book started off slow and delved deep in description. The ending was gripping and graphic, and overall the plot was suspenseful to say the least. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an exciting thriller.
