- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2015Read a review on this book before I purchased it and person said that couldn't put it down, afraid I was the other way, found the main character a pain, and couldn't sympathise with what she was going through.
The Sisters story didn't quite add up either, how come family both knew where each other were but never once went to visit each other.
Did manage to read to the end but not the most enjoyable read.

1.0 out of 5 stars it is a waste of time
Disappointing ...
I, honestly, expected much more. The book's reviews promise an engaging, interesting story. It wasn't.
Maybe the lack of writing skills is to blame. Overall, it is a waste of time. I couldn't finish the book. I was bored ans unimpressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Quick and Enjoyable Read!
Iron Butterfly is the first book I have read by this author. The story flowed with emotion and tender scenes reminiscent of Danielle Steel and Nora Roberts.
The characters were believable because they were endearing and flawed as are we all. The main protagonist is a strong and resilient woman who must face a life threatening operation. Will she survive? Her sister who has been estranged for many years comes back. Will the sisters be able to reconcile?
I found this to be an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books by this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Story, Good Writing
I really wanted to give this story the extra star for a 5-star rating, but just couldn't do it. I enjoyed the story, enjoyed the author's skill, but there was just something that seemed to be missing for me. I hate to guess, but I think it might be just plain old entertainment value. I think I might not have been entertained as much for a 5-star rating.
But don't let that stop you, ....this is a good book to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good story
It was a well-written story about a woman who experiences a very brief but scary health event. This event brings about a few changes in her and her family's life. I know several friends and family members who are going through or have been in extremely stressful and scary health nightmares that make the main character's health scare look like a little hiccup, but that is just my experience influencing my review. I guess some of the character's thoughts in the end of the story were a little over the top considering her health event was over in less than a week, and it is one of the things that could be better regarding the story and its resolution.
