The Thought Readers (Mind Dimensions Book 1) Kindle Edition
Everyone thinks I’m a genius.
Everyone is wrong.
Sure, I finished Harvard at eighteen and now make crazy money at a hedge fund. But that’s not because I’m unusually smart or hard-working.
It’s because I cheat.
You see, I have a unique ability. I can go outside time into my own personal version of reality—the place I call “the Quiet”—where I can explore my surroundings while the rest of the world stands still.
I thought I was the only one who could do this—until I met her.
My name is Darren, and this is how I became entangled with all the Russians and learned that I’m a Reader.

If you'd like to find out when a new book comes out, please sign up for Anna's new release list at http://www.annazaires.com.
Anna Zaires is a New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author of contemporary dark erotic romance and sci-fi romance. She fell in love with books at the age of five, when her grandmother taught her to read. Since then, she has always lived partially in a fantasy world where the only limits were those of her imagination. Currently residing in Florida, Anna is happily married to Dima Zales (a science fiction and fantasy author) and closely collaborates with him on all their works.
After graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in Economics, Anna spent eight years on Wall Street analyzing stocks and writing research reports. In 2013, she became a full-time author, pursuing her lifelong dream of writing romance novels.
Dima Zales is the love of her life and a huge inspiration in all aspects of her writing. Every book Anna writes is a product of their unique collaborative process.
In addition to reading and writing, Anna enjoys drinking tea (coconut oolong, anyone?), watching addictive TV shows, and discussing book ideas during long walks with her amazing husband.
She loves hearing from her readers, so please don't hesitate to drop her a note through her website or connect with her on Facebook, where she hangs out way too often. Also, please visit her husband and collaborator, Dima Zales, at www.dimazales.com, and check out their fantasy & science fiction books.

Dima Zales is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy. Prior to becoming a writer, he worked in the software development industry in New York as both a programmer and an executive. From high-frequency trading software for big banks to mobile apps for popular magazines, Dima has done it all. In 2013, he left the software industry in order to concentrate on his writing career and moved to Palm Coast, Florida, where he currently resides.
Dima holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from NYU and a dual undergraduate degree in Computer Science / Psychology from Brooklyn College. He also has a number of hobbies and interests, the most unusual of which might be professional-level mentalism. He simulates mind reading on stage and close-up, and has done shows for corporations, wealthy individuals, and friends.
He is also into healthy eating and fitness, so he should live long enough to finish all the book projects he starts. In fact, he very much hopes to catch the technological advancements that might let him live forever (biologically or otherwise). Aside from that, he also enjoys learning about current and future technologies that might enhance our lives, including artificial intelligence, biofeedback, brain-to-computer interfaces, and brain-enhancing implants.
In addition to writing The Sorcery Code series and Mind Dimensions series, Dima has collaborated on a number of romance novels with his wife, Anna Zaires. The Krinar Chronicles, an erotic science fiction series, is an international bestseller and has been recognized by the likes of Marie Claire and Woman's Day. If you like erotic romance with a unique plot, please feel free to check it out, especially since the first book in the series (Close Liaisons) is available for free everywhere.
Anna Zaires is the love of his life and a huge inspiration in every aspect of his writing. She definitely adds her magic touch to anything Dima creates, and the books would not be the same without her. - Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 May 2017Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseWhat a brilliant concept this book is written around, and what a joy it is to read! What would you do with your time if you could leave your body any time you wanted, read a few books while you are there and maybe snoop around your world? What about if you could read minds? What would a young man do? Yup, he does! And it is so funny and exciting and clever. My son (18) recommended this book to me. All I can say is that if a young man and a 50-something woman liked it so much, it's got to be good. Buy it - you won't regret it. Thank goodness I have the next one to read now that the story line has really jotted up.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 August 2018Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseI enjoyed this book as the author developed some intersting ideas. Well worth a try.
Unfortunately, book two starts well further developing the ideas. However the author seems to have taken them as far as they go and the books degenerates into details of sectarian violence. An interesting twist at the end fails to justify the repetitive violence.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 June 2018Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis is an original story about a man who can shift his point of perception and sense people's thoughts, all outside the standard flow of time. He is shocked to learn he is not the only person with these skills when he meets a girl in the place he refers to as the Quiet.
This book kept me entertained throughout and is well worth reading, especially when it's free.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 June 2018Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis book has to lay out the whole idea of mind dimensions as well as have some story/action. On the whole the balance was achieved with action, drama and angst. Will be interesting to see where the story leads from this point.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2018Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseI don't know what made me choose this book, as it isn't my usual read. But wow, I'm so glad I did read it. Was a great read from start to finish and kept me hooked all the way through. The book was well written and easy to follow.
I'm now going to buy the other books in the series, to see how the story progresses.
Would definitely recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story, ¿too short?
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseFirst, I love the story, and I've bought the three books, but it surely could be published in one or two books max.
Yeah, it is +270 pages, but with the biggest font size and line spacing I've seen in years. There's no need...

Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseAs a very-long-time fan of John D McDonald, it's inevitable that comparison be made with The Girl, The Gold Watch & Everything. Solutions to technical details are, of course, much different. And the entire tone of each is vastly different. As a reader, I have enjoyed myself. I believe you will, too.
