Aged 70 I enjoyed this book, even though it is probably intended for teenagers. A bit like Harry Potter
but instead of a school for wizards this was a school for young werewolves.
Alex and Cassie are twins and have been at the school for 6 years, ever since their parents were murdered
by a human, Drogan. Now Drogan is determined to kill the twins - just because they are werewolves.

Jericho is the new Alpha in the school. Each Alpha chooses his pack and there is rivallry and some
fighting between the packs. The story could be read as a stand alone, although the ending obviously
leads on to the next book. I did get a bit tired of Cassie always dissolving into tears, even if she did
miss her parents! A good book for teenagers and those who like werewolves. 3.5 stars.

This is the most unputdownable book I have read for a very long time. I laughed, cried, and held my breath so much. The world is not often kind to those who are different, and growing up adds its own pains and heartaches.
Our heroes pack are so believable, no-one is perfect, I loved them all the more for their flaws and the support they learned to offer each other. I can't wait to read the next one.

Interesting take on pack hierarchy and a nice read. I would have scored five stars but for spelling mistakes here and there and a few slightly strangely worded sentences. Overall a very enjoyable read and I will be reading the next in the series! Where was werewolf academy when I was younger? Teen me would have loved it! I look forward to the rest of the series. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun start to a series

This is a great start to a new paranormal series on werewolves in a dystopian (?) world. Alex is an interesting protagonist and I liked Jericho and all the other supporting characters. I did wish Cassie had a bigger part. She seemed very child-like compared to her twin. But that's a minor issue. A fun read!

I am so glad this book appeared in my BookBub email. It was so well written that I became extremely invested in the characters and felt like I was a part of Pack Jericho. Can't wait to read the rest of the series and see what other books Cheree Alsop has written.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good enough

Pleasant but a bit meh. Good for a zoned out read. Writing is clunky at times and the ending is too smooshed together. Felt like the crescendo built and the. The author ran out of ideas. I mean I'll probably read the series, but if you are looking for a book that awakens something in your, or makes you feel profoundly this isn't it.
