    So I'm the idiot who read this book having read the authors other book literally hours before hand and never realised they were written by the same person. I never checked the authors name before diving right in. Had I not looked at the last minute I would never have guessed as both books although having some similarities were really quite different but both equally brilliant.

    This book had me involved right from the start. It was well written with a nice flow to the dialogue and storyline, nothing felt forced or stilted with all the characters playing a good role including the secondary characters of Tess and Luke whose book I'm hoping will be next in the series. It was at times hilarious and often times sweet and thankfully had enough sizzle and spark between Mia and Ben to have me rooting for the couple from the get go. It was a fast tumble into love for these two but in another way it took them years to get to where then ended up and I was left feeling all kinds of goofy and happy by the epilogue and that's just how I like my happily ever afters. If you're looking for a great beach read with plenty of heat and romance then this is the book for you.

    I absolutely adored this book! From start to finish this was a wonderful and emotional story of love, heartbreak and hope, all whilst being sweet and sexy at the same time!

    Mia is off to visit her best friend Tessa, for the Summer. The only downside is her horibble brother, Ben, may be around who she has hated since school after he used to be really unkind to her. At school they loathed each other....to the point that Mia is planning to do everything she can to avoid him!

    On her way down to Tessa's she decides it is about time she lost her virginity. She's after a summer of fun, so decides to get the difficult 'first time' out of the way the night before she's due to arrive at Tessa's. She meets a wonderful man - he's hot, sext, understanding and an all round great guy who actually makes her first time very special. They stay strangers, without even knowing each other's name an part ways after the deed has been done!

    Once Mia arrives with Tessa they make a start on enjoying their summer together! But it's not long before Mia and Tessa's brother Ben run into each other again after all these years....or so she thinks!
    I absolutely adored Ben... and of course Nolan!! The characters are wonderful and well developed. The story line is sweet, and sexy. This is the kind of easy to read, summer book, which you will just want to keep turning the pages of! Brilliant - onto the next book in the series now!

    I adore Ben and Mia so much. J Daniels weaves a beautiful story of past anger and present attraction seamlessly.

    Mia is staying with her friend over the summer, returning to her hometown. The only problem is her best friends older brother who she hates, the feeling mutual.

    “And as long as her pain-in-the-a** brother stays as far away from me as possible, it’s going to be the best summer of my life. Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest d—head.”

    “Mia f—ing Corelli. The most annoying girl that’s ever lived.”

    Their love story is rocky in the beginning, building on friendship to help build Mia’s trust. Ben tried to be patient however he is completely obsessed with her and it’s a struggle.

    “I step closer to him and he surprisingly doesn’t step back. “Back the f— off before I beat the shit out of you.”

    “ I need to calm the hell down. I’ve never felt this anxious about seeing someone before. And for f— sake, I just saw her yesterday.”

    Ben is a cop and a single parent who is just delicious, honestly! Mia is sweet and kind put her life on hold to care for her mum who has been ill. Together they make such a good couple, learning from each other.

    “We’re still sitting so close together, practically on top of each other, and I feel safe. Protected. Something about his looming presence makes me feel like I can trust him completely. It’s unexplainable.”

    Honestly such a great story, go read it!

    I liked the main premise of the story.. ugly fat girl turned pretty and wanted by her previous tormentor!

    It’s one of my fave tropes!

    However I think it could have been executed a little better, eg the angst wasn’t long enough to appreciate the past trauma? She literally was like oh ok I’ll forgive and forget cos you’re hot and want me?! The side characters were awesome and the little twists here and there pull the book through..

    Oh and the pov about how each of them were soo ridiculously horny were dragged a little too much for my liking..

    Otherwise a generally decent read.. nothing that blew my socks off

    Wow! diese Autorin weiß, wie man fesselnde Stories schreibt. Dieses Buch hat mich von Anfang an gefasst, ich konnte garnicht genug bekommen.
    Der Wechsel zwischen Mias und Bens Erzählperspektive gefiel mir sehr gut und machte das Buch sehr spannend.
    J Daniels weiß, wie man atemberaubende männliche Charaktere schreibt.

    I loved this book much!! It was a quick read that I started this morning and finished this afternoon. It's the perfect enemies to lovers, best friends brother book. I had such a great time reading it. This would be the perfect summer beach read. I got winter and snow lol!!

    Mia spent 5 years being tormented and tortured by her best frined Tessa's brother Ben. He thoroughly enjoyed the fat girl, braces & glasses, don't eat so much jokes he leveled her with. Mia tried to let him think it didn't bother her, but it did and some things you don't forget.

    Mia is heading back to Ruxton, Texas to spend the summer with Tessa. She decides to start her summer off with a literal bang & ditch her V-card to a random hook up at the bar she found. Lucky for her there's a gorgeous guy at the end of the bar that is sending her all the right signals.

    Before the end of the night Mia is short one V-card & the guy was gentle and caring and Mia knew she'd never forget their one night together.

    Ben is absolutley ecsatic that he got to be this girls first but he needs to get her name out of her cause he sure wants more. He doesn't get a name but he is determined to find her agian.

    Imagine his surprise whne the mystery girl is none other than Mia, who wants nothing to do with him. Ben will not take no for an answer and has one summer to convince her that he is not the same person he used to be and he wants her.

    Mia is floored to discover Ben is "the one". She cannot get over his mistreatment of her when they were young but she also can't forget their one night together. It invades her dreams on a nightly basis and interrupts her days.

    Good length. Such a tear jerker of a story with a true fate sweetness and ending. Falling in love quickly and forever is the main theme of this story and it works so well. There were a few things I felt were missing and would have liked to have known like what happened with Angie, did Ben get full custody and did Mia end up adopting him. And what was the sex of there baby. Might find that out in book 2 but if not just for peace of mind I would of liked to have known. My heart cried, laughed, sped up and slowed down throughout this book. It truly was a great read! Looking forward to Tessa and Luke's story.
