Emotionally Abusive Relationships: Identifying and Effectively Dealing with Narcissists, Sociopaths, Psychopaths and Toxic People Kindle Edition
In most cases, what eludes both the emotional abused victim and their abuser is that the abuser is suffering from some sort of personality disorder like narcissism or has an undiagnosed anti-social personality disorder and is possibly a sociopath or even a psychopath. In his book entitled Emotionally Abusive Relationships: Identifying and Effectively Dealing with Narcissists, Sociopaths, Psychopaths and Toxic People author Frank James explains in great detail these particular disorders and emotional disturbances and how they are possibly the root cause of someone being emotionally abusive.
In addition, in his book he examines the various forms of emotional abuse, how to recognize the telltale signs of being in an emotionally abusive relationship, treatment and management techniques that you can utilize if your relationship is worth saving and if it is not worth saving how to safely exit out of a toxic relationship.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 December 2019I found this book very easy to read and didn't go too in depth. Helped in explaining reasons why a person may act in an abusive way, also went through some suggestions as to how you may encourage them to seek help and suggestions as to what and what not to say. Crucially it gave advice on when to get away, when the person is unsafe. I read it after the event but while still very much involved. Helped me to see I am doing the right thing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2017A good overview of the signs of toxic relationships rooted in narcissism. The author makes valuable distinctions of different types of disorders and makes useful suggestions for dealing with specified behaviours. This is not a to do manual but a good pointer for constructive action.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2014Really informative easily digestible book. Short yet sweet and a good groundbreaker for exploring the subject further. I would recommend this read for a first step into understanding this fascinating and disturbing subject matter.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2015More like a pamphlet than a book, but that said, if the contents do the job quicker than reading a big book, that's ok. I've not read it yet, but it just struck me that it was quite thin and wasn't overly cheap to buy.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 February 2016Very thin book , you could hardly call it a book , just a leaflet , Amazon should inform the public how many pages a book contains as I've been misled numerous times now with very thin so called " books " that are not cheap when you include the postage , it is very disappointing that this has happened yet again !!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 June 2014I downloaded this book having already left a particularly unpleasant relationship and everything I read confirmed that I was living with a sociopath! Good to have it confirmed as he made me feel like I was the one going crazy!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Consider it an information booklet from an office.
It costs more than it is worth.
