Across the land, peace has reigned for generations. But now, demons have found a way to breach the world and cloaked themselves as humans. They are deceitful, clever, and often manipulative as they position themselves within the Martial Orders of mankind to lie in wait like a ticking time bomb and conquer the world of humanity.

But another crucial journey is being undertaken. Wronged by a close friend, Gilex is on a road of revenge as he leads his devoted band of followers on a treacherous journey to find the fabled Circle of Demise. However, finding the circle will prove harder than expected and the rewards might not be what he was seeking.

Thus begins the enthralling Demon’s Quest epic, a spellbinding tale of adventure, magic, and myth . . .

There is definite style at work here, creating an original fantasy world and it doesn’t hang around for you catch up with it. Battles activate from the very start, the plot thickens as quickly as plaster of Paris. Any fan of Dungeons and Dragons would be at home here although I sensed a more Chinese classic influence of Wu Cheng-En than that of Tolkien, which made it action packed and dramatic, not wasting time for epic saga. A great read for all fantasy fans.

Demons are emerging from the underworld to stake their claim on humanity. Battle lines are hastily drawn, ensnaring friends and foes in a fight for their lives. Unlikely heroes will emerge, some bravely volunteering to serve the cause, while others are forced into the fray. Torhan is of the latter. The human lad, accused of crimes he did not commit, must fight to clear his name. His journey is dangerous, fraught with possible death at every turn, but he is resourceful and skilled with a blade…but is it enough?
Epic battles and unimaginable creatures await the reader in the pages of this Fantasy Adventure, volume one. Evil, so venomous it strikes without care, is mercilessly wielded by the demons in a bid to enslave the human race. However, a battle cry of freedom stands in their way, as courage, honesty and loyalty will not easily be outdone. An array of characters lead by Blood Knights, Monks of the White Fist, and the Lord of the Mind, are anxiously engaged in a battle of wits and distilled strengths.
Demon’s Quest is packed with magic, swordplay, monsters and much more.

    This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.
Can't wait to read more of these.
    Recommend reading.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I bought this book attracted by the wonderful cover and the word "quest" in the title. I was expecting an epic, fantastic story in very D&D style and luckily I was not let down.
A Demon's Quest is a brilliant story of adventures, magic and - you guess? - quests to face and overcome.
I quite liked the descriptions of settings and battles as well as the dialogues which I found very real and spontaneous.
Definitely a fantasy book to put on your TR list.

A Demon's Quest: The Beginning of the End is exactly as described: a thrilling quest along the lines of Dungeons and Dragons.

When I played Dungeons and Dragons, we used paper maps, plastic dice, and figures we'd painted ourselves. We got attached to our characters, and felt the pain of an unexpected demise. When we were victorious, we celebrated with flagons of ale at yon tavern. It wasn't on the internet…it was a reality of our own making.

Charles Carfagno Jr. creates his own reality in A Demon's Quest. The author gives us wonderful adventures from his own imagination, adds his own twists, and presents us with a thrilling, action-packed fantasy story.

Brief synopsis: A Demon's Quest: The Beginning of the End kicks off the 3 volume Fantasy collection with a bang! I was drawn in quickly with the magic of Gilex and can't wait to find out how things go with the Blood Knights and his war on Togan. Then we are taken into the situations of Torhan and Jacko and it begins to have a slight taste of Game of Thrones, where I can imagine how these groups and other fantastical characters are going to eventually come together in later volumes. Interesting things are drawing people to the town of Mirkir.

Originality: The author has done a wonderful job creating an original fantasy tale and is able to paint the vision of the adventure in the reader's head with just the right pace. The fight scenes are fast and engaging and not overdone. Danger is at every turn with everything from giant ants to nasty half swine/half men warriors. As this is the first volume, I do not know where the story will take us, but I am definitely sticking around for this ride.

Characters & Plot: The author crafted interesting characters that drew me in right away. Each group that I met along the way had their own story happening that was interesting in itself. My favorite was probably Gilex because he was unpredictable and I love the magic he was engaging in. He was also the most mysterious. Then there is Torhan, who is worried for his friend Jacko and gets drawn into his own mystery when a magical scabbard and dagger mysteriously appear in his room. The owner is dead and someone must answer for the murder. Then there is Jacko who is training hard to climb the ranks of the robes, but has to embark on a new mission after someone close to him is killed.

Recommendation: This goes well with a stein of ale and wild game! I highly recommend A Demon's Quest: The Beginning of the End if you enjoy edge of your seat fantasy adventures that twist and twine through an epic story.

Book Name:A Demon's Quest:The Beginning of the End

    By Charles Carfagno Jr.

    Format:Kindle

🌸A Demon's Quest: The Beginning Of The End is the first volume of Charles Carfagno Jr.'s novel. The book cover and title both entice me to take up the book right away.

🌸The captivating Demon's Quest epic, a mesmerising tale of adventure, magic, and myth, begins.

🌸The story revolves around a fantasy theme, with adventures and magic aplenty.Author has developed a world that is a cross between Dungeons & Dragons, Game of Thrones, and Kung Fu Theater.

🌸Demons have broken into the planet and disguised themselves as humans. They are dishonest, smart, and frequently manipulative.

🌸There are three narratives that run concurrently, making it extremely thrilling and leaving you wondering when and how they will conclude.

🌸What I like best about it is that everyone in the plot is continuously interacting with a variety of fresh characters. Some of the creatures, spells, and weaponry seemed to be unique to him. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

    Thankyou

I attached a photo of my favorite quote from book one. The end of book one does not sum up anything or answer any questions, so I strongly recommend you buy all three volumes. That being said, the read is amazing and I could not put it down. I love that it is a fast paced book with new characters constantly coming into play. It is far from boring and keeps me on my toes. One of the things I love about this book is how skillfully it is written. It is not full of useless text/banter/dialogue that a majority of modern books are filled with. This series has become my new obsession. It's like dungeons and dragons married Game of Thrones and this book (and the other volumes) are the baby they made.

As a female who is into sword fighting and other martial arts, I love that I can see myself in some of these characters. The fighting between the characters is extremely realistic and the development of them is amazing. I find myself very attached to them.

I will forever carry around the line "Just do your best and even if you fail, you have nothing to be ashamed of, because life is a lesson worth learning." I am personally going through heavy things in my life and it is the well written words of Charles Carfagno Jr. that I will carry around with me forever.

Encouraged by a friend to read volume 1 of this series, I found myself, at first, bogged down in trying to remember all the names, places and circumstances. However, with pen and notepad nearby, I forged ahead and was soon caught-up in the lives of countless characters, who traversed a number of parallel plots. I had my favorites, enjoying the Red Knight and Torhan's storylines the most, but the others almost equally pulled me along. The story is set in a fantastic world of mythical creatures, absurdly evil villains and crafty humans. Although the plots are all someone separate in this first installment, I can see how the author is gradually weaving them together. The book does end somewhat abruptly, encouraging the reader to purchase the next volume -- not too unusual for the current trend in literature.
I would have to say for a first attempt Mr. Cargango has done very well. The manuscript is almost completely free of typographical errors and the writing style is pleasing - kudos to this new author. The thing that captured my attention, above all else, was the writer's imagination. I thought some of the creatures, spells, and weapons were uniquely his own. They were well-described and aptly used throughout the story.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Fantasy and Adventure, but especially teens and young adult readers.

Magic, deception, and giant bug-demons. A journey filled with mystery and ancient values. Swords and martial arts. And, did I mention giant bug-demons?

“Demon’s Quest: A Beginning of the End” is the first installment of a promising new fantasy series by author Charles Carfango. The story takes readers on an epic quest through the experiences of friends Jacko and Torhan as they find themselves thrown into battles of both personal and worldly proportions. They come face-to-face with demons of mythical origins and those bound to human flesh. And they are forced to confront the dark realities of the world they live in, one setback at a time.

Charles Carfango brings his background in martial arts to a medieval clash with corrupt aristocracy and otherworldly beings. He explores a world filled with magic and intrigue, as well as dangerous plots of total control and hell on earth. The author writes with a clear purpose in mind: to tell the tale in a way that builds suspense and vivid imagery. The shifting character viewpoints lend a classic Fantasy quality to it as the author utilizes parallel timelines to illuminate vital elements of the story.

While all of the characters are certainly believable, there is a lingering sense of unrealized potential within them. Their places in the story are undeniable, and their motivations are clear, but the core of their beings is sometimes shadowed in a way that makes it difficult to sympathize with them. This is not a story-killer, but more fleshed-out characters would certainly aid in the overall level of immersion available to readers.

“Demon’s Quest: The Beginning of the End” is an interesting and fast-paced Fantasy read. Those who enjoy a good mix of magic, fighting, and intrigue will find the tale enjoyable, although I think full understanding of the characters and story will be achieved by reading the following books in the series — it seems impossible for this book to act as a stand-alone. If this story has one thing, it is potential: a huge, antechamber-filling, boat-load of potential. The demon’s quest has only just begun.

I am so sorry but I just couldn't get in to this book. The writing was juvenile and many times unclear... ex.: "He continued until he found Gilex performing his morning ritual several hundred feet beyond his quarters..." It turns out he was practicing with weapons... I thought he was doing something else that one does as part of a morning ritual. That is probably a poor example but there are many more throughout what I read of the book... couldn't get past the sophomoric writing... I kept hearing "9th grader, 9th grader" in my brain as I tried to get involved in this book. Maybe for young readers (10-12 yrs. old) it would be exciting and acceptable; unfortunately, I am way beyond that age... so sorry to give a poor review but it just was not a well-written book.
