A cross continental crime thriller set in urban London and Andalucia. Plenty of English dark comedy, accidents, chaos, murder, mystery, deceit and twisted fate. The books anti-hero Davey Regan grows up in the 70’s and is a mischievous character who makes his own dark and sometimes disturbing entertainment along with his best mate Dean. As a teenager, he establishes himself a small time drug dealer in the West End and Camden Town, but it’s not the laid-back tourist hub that most people know. His world is the back street pubs and underground activities of its shady low life and gangsters. In his twenties life takes a different direction, he settles down with his partner and their son but his dark criminal past and contacts sit lurking in the background. Regan gets into serious trouble in Spain and their only chance of survival is to flee the country.
Regan’s partner gets mixed up in her employer’s affairs, her vengeful actions end with dramatic consequences far beyond her initial wishes. They have no choice but to return to the only place they know - London. Regan keeps his head down on unfamiliar ground in the East End, but his dodgy past catches up with him. - Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 July 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseStarts off a bit strange, like the story of two young working class lads in London , growing up in the big city they soon find other things to put their minds to and things start to happen as they get older, not going to say more but well worth the read. some of the editing could have been better but not bad enough to put me off, could not put it down in the end, don't be put off by a slow start, read on.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 July 2014Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseA fast paced crime thriller which manages to keep you rooting for a low life chancer. This debut novel is very well paced and the characters are nicely drawn, throughout the macabre tale I found myself wondering why I was still rooting for davey but I was right up until the breakneck climax. The author draws on his influences well and I found myself enjoying the pulp fiction type twists along with the train spotting esque scumbag anti hero. This is the adult only fools and horses with bite. Overall a very entertaining read.

t I knew him. An authentic voice of lowlife criminal London. It felt like a true story and I could not put it down. We have all met and then avoided people like this. I would not hesitate to recommend this story. A truly blinding read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 December 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseI really enjoyed this book, It's so rare these days just to get a good fast paced story, most authors spend so much time trying to be clever they forget to tell you whats going on. I did see one review where someone didn't bother to read it bcause they didn't like the standard of grammar, get over yourself, you missed out on a good, fun book.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 July 2014Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis book was a breath of fresh air, I love this genre but of late have been dissapointed with the stale predictable storylines that I have been reading recently.
This book oozed depth, excitement, humour and suprises that kept me gripped and reading into the small hours of the night as I kept telling myself just one more chapter......
I would definitely recommend.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 November 2016Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis strange book is boring but oddly compelling if only to realise the complete absence of grammar, appropriate punctuation and even spelling. It is almost impossible to believe the author is from the UK as it almost seems as though English is not his first language as it is so poorly written. A rambling mess that has clearly not had the benefit of proof reading or editing, something that most people would consider the minimum requirements for any book whether self published or otherwise. I am relieved that the book was free as had it not been, it would been money ill spent. For any would be writer surely some form of literacy has to be present to at least make some of the work at least intelligible. No more please!
