    A beautiful Story, worth each and everyone of the 5 stars I have gave it. Love in Rewind is a fast paced Love story, working from the end and going back in time it was an incredible lay out and beautifully written, we are Re-wound and took back in time. With AMAZING throw back songs that took me back in time, and in places the songs took me back to certain times in my life I found captivating. With references to some of the biggest 80's hits it stands out on the book shelf from books I've read before.

    Em, or Sweet girl, is one of those characters you think will be young and naive but that little girl is certainly a woman, a woman Louis isn't looking for but finds Em and is as mesmerized by her, for the reader I was mesmerized by her too. With Hot scenes, great one liners, confidence and cockiness Louis Bruel will soon become one of your Favorite Book Boyfriends.

    The start of the book I think a lot of married couples will relate too, with 10 years into there marriage things aren't what they used to be, Em throws the story back and we begin the journey of a beautiful relationship, with scenes that left me wanting and craving more I literally Laughed, cried, gasped, screamed, bit my lip but ultimately Tali Alexander had me Captivated from the onset, holding onto her every word.

    This book is NOT what you think it will be, it is more than you think. One click this book, sit back relax and get ready to be took down the path of a Love Story, with a rocky road the twists and turns and a FANTASTIC ending that left me on a cliff edge, you will love this story.

    I am so pleased that I stuck with this book. I admit, I didn't like Louis Bruel at first, he came across arrogant and disrespectful and it was an immediate turn off, but I persevered because I had a feeling that things were about to change. And oh, did they change. Mr arrogant went from selfish, shallow sex craved addict to a man finally knowing what it's like to find love in the most unlikeliest of females.

    Emily is an innocent and somewhat naive 18-year-old who first sees the powerful and insanely beautiful Louis Bruel at a party, organised by her sister Jenna and her husband, Mike. For two weeks after their initial meeting, Emily becomes obsessed with the man who has it all. He is a welcome fantasy, nothing more.

    Well, that is until another organised event puts them back in the same vicinity, and Louis makes it highly apparent that he feels exactly the same way...

    From first sexual encounters and erotic escapades, to first love and growing up in the world of high flying New York glamour, this is the story of how one young woman stole the heart of a relentless business mogul/hard-core playboy.

    It spans a decade and tells of an all consuming love that is open, honest and very beautiful in its own way, but also shrouded in doubt and low self esteem.

    Emily is unaware of her beauty, she cannot understand how one such as the beautiful and highly revered Louis Bruel could love one such as she, and sometimes that doubt can pave way to disaster...

    And even though there wasn't too much angst here, this story still managed to sweep me away into the high rolling fantasy. To have everything at your feet and the love of a good man is all you could ever ask for, but Emily's concerns seemed real to me. Her age, accompanied by her very warranted insecurities of how Louis chose to live his life B.E (Before Emily) was a constant struggle and I identified with that part of her character.

    Louis, well... he sure is alpha, and even though I didn't care much for his lurid dialogue in the first half, the second really made me do a 180. If there's one thing I take from this beautifully constructed story is never take what you have for granted, because one day it could all be gone and you will have nothing left but regrets.

    The present and past narrative was a real treat because you got two sides of the same story running completely parallel and it kept me riveted to my e-reader, because I wanted to see how a love that started out quite possessive and consuming, became distant and unpredictable. Alas, it all comes together beautifully, laced lyrically with an 80's musical theme that took me back to a time when things were a lot less complicated. It was quite refreshing in that respect and I am so pleased I took the time to read Love in Rewind.

    I really did enjoy this book. I was coming out of a book hangover having just read Carnage and was looking for something a little different and this fitted the bill,

    The book follows the story of Louis and Emily, married for 10 years and having come to a time when their marriage appears to be over.

    We REWIND back through the years and relive with Emily and Louis, how they met and everything that follows right up to where they find themselves at the beginning of the book and the marriage appears to have broken down .

    Louis is a VERY naughty guy who before meeting Emily liked to play around big time, whilst Emily is an 18 year old virgin. This book features extremely hot scenes, as Louis has his wicked way with Emly :-)

    I felt that the book finished on a bit of a cliff hanger, in fact I was expecting to turn the page and find the lead in to the next book. Somethings for me were left unanswered.

    I have written to Tali Alexander on FB to see if the next book contines the Louis and Emily story, but it appears that whilst they are mentioned in the next book, the story is about Sara, Emily's best friend.

    Definitely worth a read

    A fantastic love story told in rewind. Starting with Emily, a 29year old mother of two who on the surface has it all, financial security, a close supportive family and she's married to the one great love of her life Louis. So why then is her marriage slowly crumbling? Her husband hasn't touched her for ninety five days!! And she knows something's seriously wrong. Told in Emily's pov we go back to the first time she meets Louis, a successful, womanising 29 year old. With an age difference of over ten years Emily thinks she's no chance gaining his attention. Now I loved young Emily. The author managed to really get across Emily's naivety and innocence, and also her immaturity. Told over the years from their first meeting to ten years and two kids later this is a really really enjoyable love story. Very sweet at times (although it did make me swear a few times too) this really is well worth a read. I will 100% definitely be reading the next book from this author.

    That said...

    Tali Alexander, thank you for my book hangover. AND, thank you for a book that uses constant 80’s references which I will now try to do in my review.

    Love in Rewind is the story of Emily and Louis. The book starts in the present, Here we are after 10 years of marriage, and suddenly a whole lot of disconnect. Emily is lost, she has no idea what has gone awry in her picture perfect marriage.

    ”I would give it all up to have my husband want me like he once did”

    She then takes us down memory lane on her life with Louis. We rewind and go to the very beginning of their love affair.

    Emily meets millionaire bachelor Louis Bruel when she’s only 18. It’s love at first sight. Sure, he’s older and word out on the street is he’s a player But, she’s immediately obsessed by his charm and attention.
    She cannot stay away from him, despite the warnings from her sister

    ”I mean your not his type of girl. Trust me, Sis, don’t play games with rich boys -- you’ll lose,”

    Only, what Em doesn’t know is, he too had a moment.

    Before long we are back to the present. Where, well, it gets real. This is where the feels come in. This is where Em is forced to examine the past 10 years of her life. Where she tries to pinpoint where THEY went wrong.

    As a debut author, I feel like Tali it out of the park.

    Here are my top reasons why.

    1. Character Development. She nailed it. It was torture loving both characters and falling apart when they were. I was WITH them.
    Past and Present. The writing was seamless. I never was confused where I was in their relationship and it wasn’t choppy.
    Dual POVs. Nailed it.
    Tali gives you the much needed escape that only a book can give. But she managed to give you the package. You get steamy erotic fairytale with the perfect OMG twists thrown in.

    I cannot WAIT for book 2. I sure hope to see more of these two!

    Love in Rewind lives up to its title. The story goes back to the start of the love affair between Emily Marcus and Louis Bruel. Emily, just eighteen, meets the handsome, successful older man, Louis, while working for her sister. She feels an instant attraction but thinks it’s only one sided until Louis makes her an indecent proposal. Emily doesn’t want to be that girl and quickly Louis changes tact and invites her out for coffee. He is patient, understanding and passionate. He courts Emily but her sister cautions her because of his playboy reputation. But as Emily spends more time with Louis she realises that there is more to him than meets the eye. 

The courtship is adorable and sweet. Louis does all he can to prove to her that she means so much more to him than the other women who entered and existed his life. Emily is fearful that she isn’t enough for him but despite her concerns, the two of them marry and start a family together. But then Louis grows distant with Emily and her doubts re-emerge. He has withdrawn from her and she fears that he has returned to his playboy ways. Fearing the end, Emily decides to step back and think of what to do. Then something happens and Emily fears that she has lost everything. 

Emily and Sara, her best friend, have a secret language through the use of 80s song titles which is fantastic! You go on a nostalgic journey back and reminisce about that period. It makes you want to play those songs all over again. The story will make you laugh, cry, love, and fan yourself from all the heat! And even when you close the pages, Emily and Louis’ tale will continue playing in your head… on repeat.

    I love romance stories and this one was a sweet one, even though I was suffering from the beginning because of the way it started and I was just expecting the worst.
    I enjoyed the story all the time, there wasn't any monotonous situation or dull moment and I was just expecting disappointment or tragedy at any point. It is such an amazing book.
