I don't normally write book reviews as I usually finish one book and go straight onto the next. I felt that this author deserved a review for these books as this box set kept me absorbed all weekend, I've since downloaded the 4th book, and now I've finished that one too, and have the 5th (last one) in the series left to read. These stories are described as a young adults read, I have to disagree with that as it didn't feel like that when I was reading it. The main lead characters are youngish, although it's not written in teenage style language, there's also a good mixed range in age of the other characters.

I'm not going to reveal the plot as I don't want to spoil the story for others, only to say that this is a good adventure story with a strong plot line flowing through the series. This is a love story, with magic, angels, demons and war and very well thought out. I would recommend it to all ages (I'm in my 50's and just had to keep on reading). I'm trying to leave the last book for a rainy day, as once I start it I won't get anything done, and I won't have another title in the series to look forward too. I haven't read anything by this author before, but I will be looking at other things she's written to date as I like her style of writing.

Got this because of the reviews and the and the fact that it was free. Only realised that it was YA after I downloaded it but decided to give it a go. What a surprise. The writing and story are really good and I am looking forward the the next two. A good find, plenty of action a bit of teen angst. If you don't mind a lack of "hot" scenes give it a try.

As a huge fan of Tolkien, I'm largely disappointed when I read other fantasy novels, especially when they're free, but this initial 2 book set has me hooked (OK, I know that's the idea, but you can get the 3rd book free too :) )
I don't feel comfortable with some of the "touchy-feely" side of the narrative, but overall it's one of the best books I've read in the last 2 years, and I read a lot.
This author is amazing; she not only seems to engage with the characters in her books, but also engages with her audience. I look forward to reading episode 3 of this story, and hope to read more in the future.

Angelfire is book 1 in the Dark Angel series.
I found this book to be slightly different to others that show the story between angels and demons. And I did enjoy it very much.

Angelstone is book 2 in the Dark Angel series.
I actually didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one. I felt that there was a lot going on.

Angelsong is book 3 in the Dark Angel series.

Alyx must save Israel, who is dying. But things start getting complicated as she's developing feelings for Jordan. I loved the game that Alyx and Jordan had to play to get the the Threads of Dark.

A good proof reader is required to correct the frequent unnecessary words as well as making sure the correct word is used - terse is not a synonym for tense! Some checking of the feasibility of some of the action would be also be helpful - I know it's fiction but there are limits!

Downloaded these quite a few years ago for free on the Kindle store and hadn't gotten around to reading them until now.

Wow - what a ride so far!! It took a few chapters to get into this, but it's a rich world full of organic history and lore, with likable characters.

Very much enjoyed these and I went on to buy the last three books as well because I definitely needed some more Israel x Alyx content in my life.

These will stay on my kindle to be read again!

    3.0 out of 5 stars It's a kiddy book
Reviewed in Germany on 17 December 2015
Well, I guess this is a book for a younger audience. I only read the first book and found it medium satisfactory. To determine whether it was worth to continue reading, I read the endings of book 2 & 3. They end exactly the same way as book 1 for one reason or another. Then I found there are not 3, but 5 books. To me that sounds like I'd have to force myself to continue reading for a looooong time, especially if there are no highlight in the end. That's why I stopped. Other people might not mind that though, and since I didn't read the complete set, I will still give it 3 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly suprised!
Reviewed in the United States on 9 March 2016
I was so pleasantly surprised by this book/trilogy. 4.5 stars.

Hanna Peach builds an excellent world with interesting characters that you will love. I couldn't put my Kindle down, I was that involved in the story.

God has sealed the gates of heaven, the angels unable to return. The archangels have separated their society into different cities and segregated the population into classes. Fraternising is forbidden, and if an angel cannot follow the laws or has differt ideas about how things should be run, they are banned from society, criminalized, and labeled a ''Rogue."

Meet Alyx. An 18 year old orphan who's parents turned Rogue. She's a trained warrior who posesses no magic. But, when Alyx begins to have visions that revolve around a specific human, she is branded a charlatan amongst her peers. Alyx finally meets the human Israel from her visions, and discovers not just that she is his bonded Guardian, a role that hasn't been assigned for thousands of years, but also there is a prophecy that fortells of a guardian and human who fall in love and will be the key to opening the gates of heaven or hell.

Alyx is branded a traitor for actions she didn't commit. On the run as a Rogue, she must protect Israel at all costs from demons and angels alike.

There is a love triangle in this book between Alyx, Israel, and Jordan. What surprised me was I liked Jordan more than I liked Israel despite the fact I knew Alyx would never chose the angel over her charge. They had more chemistry, and just worked better together than Israel and Alyx. Plus, Israel and Alyx have so many problems and misunderstandings since the first book. Their relationship was immature. I really hope that Hanna Peach delivers another book centered around Alyx and Israel soon so they can have a chance at a "normal" relationship.

Basically, this book was so good I immediately purchased the next novels in succession so I could see how the prophecy was fulfilled. It was free on Amazon so try it out if you like paranormal dystopian romance.

This book is definitely YA but had the feel of an adult novel.

I chose this rating because of my love for fantasy stories and I hope you keep imagining and sharing them with your readers.
I must say that the beginning of your story background was not as smooth as I like but, once reading the first couple of chapters I was totally
    into the story!
I have recommended your first 3 books to my reading friends. I look foreward to the next 3!

5.0 out of 5 stars This series is amazing!!!!
Reviewed in Australia on 24 July 2016
As a series, this is brilliantly engaging and intense. I love the world building and the scope of the plot that unfolds within these two books. It's not just a new scheme but one that has been meticulously planned and executed over a long period of time....

Alyx is a lovable main character, strong and passionate. Israel is on a mission to save a friend and won't let Alyx dissuade him from this dangerous path. Jordan is a rogue led by part of a prophecy ,to cross Alyx's path. Three very different people brought together to face the darkness that is coming.....

Who is the keye??? You will just have to read the rest of the books to find out!!!!
