Embers Of Home (Big Spruce Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
When a new business venture provides an exciting opportunity for Giselle to join her, and an unexpected, melodramatic reaction from Simon brings all three friends back together again, Tara feels complete once more. Just when things seem to be coming together, an unidentified body is discovered. Shasta becomes the prime suspect, and suddenly becomes a target for someone with a score to settle: but why is he being framed, and what do the powerful Buchanan family really want in Big Spruce?
As the battle for valuable reservation land pits Shasta and his family against a powerful syndicate, a visitor from Shasta’s past has her own agenda, one which threatens Tara’s new-found happiness. And when Tara’s rival and Shasta’s adversary join forces it can only mean trouble. In the past promises had been made and broken. Can anyone be trusted to keep their word, or will revenge make that an impossible task?
Can Tara and Shasta save their relationship or even their own lives?

5.0 out of 5 stars Every ounce as good as the last book, just loved it. A great book for a Book Club
I loved being able to continue to read this spellbinding story. I felt sad when I finished the last book as I loved the main characters in the book and 'missed' them once I had finished it. Now I have read the 2nd sequel and I feel exactly the same. The story is completely gripping and the author is so eloquent, it's a joy to read. I'm not an avid reader but a friend recommended these books to me and as with the first book I had to put my life /chores (!) on hold whilst I read the book. I can't wait for the final sequel to be published and in the meantime will catch up on my laundry etc.
It would be a great read for a book club as it's an easy read but has an interesting spiritual element and the story in general would create a good discussion amongst a group.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 May 2014Book 2 done!! When do we get book 3??
Another great book telling of Tara and Shasta's adventurous happenings. Again like the first book I found it very difficult to put this one down too and found myself saying one more page numerous times. Not as many twists in this one but still a compelling excellent read!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 July 2014Enjoyed Embers of Home as much as the lights of home. Couldn't put it down and only wished the final book was released so I could find out the end, although I know when it's over I will wish it was just beginning. Well done Janice looking forward to the next and your future releases.
