The Premier League's Worst Ever Players Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 68 ratings

Did Francis Jeffers ever keep you awake at night? Did you slap yourself in the face each time you witnessed an Eric Djemba-Djemba attack-splitting pass? Did Titus Bramble cause you to eat your match programme in frustration? Then this is the book you've been waiting for.

Relive all your least favourite Premier League moments by taking a journey back through the maze of frustration, disillusionment and failure that is the Premier League’s worst ever players. Grimace, wince and sob as you take a trip down the derelict end of memory lane, through a history of the Premier League’s most inept, incompetent, overpaid and under-talented exponents of the beautiful game. Players who looked terrified whenever the ball came within twenty yards of them, players who would struggle to make the bench for their son’s under-7’s team and players who surprised you by managing to make it onto the field wearing the correct strip.

If you’ve ever watched a Premier League player and wondered how they managed to turn professional and you didn’t, if you were left speechless as they were allowed to continue spreading their misery well into the second half, if they rang Graeme Souness pretending to be George Weah’s cousin or if they left you dumbfounded at the fact they’d managed to convince someone to pay them a wage to represent your hopes and dreams, you’ll find them all here.

I write about things that make me laugh. I write things I'd like to read if other people had written them. I write about things I know, things I've actually done or been around and involved in.

I'm grateful to each and every person who buys and reads one of my books. The positive feedback I recieve makes every 3am 'must-get-this-chapter-finished' session and 9th cup of coffee of the day worth while.

If you can't be bothered to read anything I've written, you can have someone read it to you on Audible - especially my novel 'Paranopoly' which is a comedy set in a caravan park on the North-East coast of England.

Upcoming projects include 'From He-man to Pacman : an alternative guide to growing up in the 1980s' and 'Tales from the Twisted Tree' a collection of horror and science fiction short stories.

I'm on twitter if you want to say hello : @Peter__Nuttall

Was reading a heavy hitting book and needed some light relief to go along with it. This fit the bill perfectly. A funny, insightful and interesting book. The writer picked the subjects just about right and is well worth a read for ANY fan. Newcastle fans might find it a tad painful however :-)

He's got a pineapple on his head!

Really enjoyable read about the stars we would like to forget, and shows how easy it is for managers to waste other people money. I will definitely be looking out for Peter Nuttall's other books.

Of course this is subjective, but it is one of those books that will fuel arguments. I could think of a few players that should be included in the list. I suppose it's a novel take on the usual eulogising books about the best ever X1 or the world's greatest players.

Nice lists and all but some of the passages were needlessly nasty. Structure a bit rambly. Needed a better editor.
