“I love this book. I've had a book in the back of my mind forever, but just kept putting it off. I followed the author's instructions step by step and finally got this book written and published within 2 weeks. This book will be on my Kindle for PC forever.

I thought the best part was the section on how to research your topic. Now I know exactly what to do before I even consider putting pen to paper. There is more info here than I received from Kindle courses that I've paid a premium fee for.

I also keep the wonderful checklist the author so kindly provided on my desktop for easy daily reference. This way I can check my progress every day and see where I'm falling behind or when I'm slacking off.

I recommend this book to every would-be writer and every currently publishing author out there. Your productivity will definitely improve if you follow the author's guidelines. You really will find yourself writing fast, writing more and achieving success as an author and publisher.”

Born in Othello Washington, moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University. Found my wife in Utah, and have been there ever since. We have a wonderful family. Reading was important to us, and I cherish the hours that I read with my children. We would bring home 25 to 40 books every three week from the library, and I would be amazed at how many we would get through. We thought that it would be fun to create a children's book.

We started our children's eBook series as a family project. We have two children leaving to serve missions, so we will be a bit shorthanded for the next books. We are very proud and excited about our first book The Snow Birthday (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BWAP6SS), and are currently working on the second.

I'm now starting to feel like an expert on 'How to write a Nonfiction Book', simply having read a number of them this week or two.

I don't bother leaving poor reviews (there's always an exception to the rule) but quite how I've been so fortunate this last week to read some
    - really good,
    - genuinely informative,
    - genuinely applicable,
    - genuinely resource laden
    books delights me!

This book, read in one very fast sitting (probably an hour) is well worth the money. I knew a good deal of what was offered but liked the manner in which it was presented.

I learnt a good number of things as well, and the resources (and yes, the checklist everyone's mentioned - good indeed but I'd make my own even more specific) are exemplary.

In all honesty, had I found this book first I'd not have needed to read any others on the subject - it stands alone and strong perfectly well - but I am typical of many - I like to read broadly and intimately across a topic.

I'd suggest this book to an audience broader than just a 'How to' author for many of the points and structures offered would help most nonfiction orientated authors.

    Happy reading!

Thank you, this is a great resource. It is packed with easy to follow instructions, a checklist and copious further resources at the back including Facebook groups etc. It's brief, but covers all you need to get on with it. A "how-to guide to writing how-to guides" this book is both instruction manual for writers and example all in one. If you fear any gaps in your knowledge about the process of writing an ebook how-to guide & publishing it, this book will help. Worth the money.

Write a Step-By-Step Book: Write Fast, Write Better, Write More, Solve Problems, Write Bestsellers, Learn How To Write a Book That Sells by Author Dean R. Giles

If there is one type of book I can truly relate to and appreciate, it is a step-by-step guidebook. Author Dean R. Giles delivers yet another helpful guidebook in his down-to-earth and easy-to-read writing style. His instructions on how to write a nonfiction book are very useful and to the point. He starts at the very beginning and then takes the new writer through the process of penning an eBook. Every tip that he gives can be easily put into place. There are tips that will be useful for published authors as well.

Of course, the first step is to choose "a topic that will be of interest to a good number of people". It also must be a topic that the writer has sufficient knowledge about and is fueled by a personal passion to share this information. If an author is passionate about his/her own work, it will generate a positive result by piquing the interest of others. Giles offers the marketing tip of narrowing down the topic. I agree with his insight of focusing on "one problem-one solution". There are plenty more helpful tips to be discovered in this writer's handbook. Good stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars A well thought out well written book.
Reviewed in the United States on 20 March 2014
As a budding author myself this book was well up my alley so to speak. Its obvious the author as taken a lot of time, thought and care into putting this book together. And here his effort has paid off in spades, the narrative is easy to follow and engages the reader right away! I have learned a lot from this book that I will be putting into to use in upcoming books. For instance how to use places like Amazon itself and Clickbank as a tool for inspiration and or guide for book ideas. This book as the title states is a step by step book, and for new authors or those lacking direction, this is what you need to follow and get a book done. This is a great book, and I highly recommend to all authors new and more established, everyone I think will gain something from reading this book.
