Tara North has had enough of her job and unimpressed by her non-existent love life, she knows something needs to change; she’s just not sure what. When fate intervenes, in the form of Tray Buchanan, her life as she once knew it is completely transformed. A shocking accident puts her life in danger and Tara retreats to the home of her Aunt Rosa, in the beautiful small mountain town of Big Spruce, Washington to recuperate.

There she meets striking Shasta King, and the attraction is instant. As Tara struggles to uncover the truth behind her accident, Big Spruce reveals secrets of its own. But just how much does Tray really know about her accident? And why is he so interested in the reservation land around Big Spruce?

As her past and her new life collide, Tara is faced with a question which has been hanging over her since she arrived in Big Spruce – which life will she choose? And will she uncover the truth of the past in time to save her future?

Bought this to read on holiday and ended up reading it over two nights before I went! Got into the story very quickly and couldn't put it down. Great believable characters, vivid settings and a plot that keeps you reading. Just when you thought how the story was going to end, it took another little twist. Can't wait for the next book to come out, although I think I'll try and read it at the weekend and not a work night.

This book was fantastic, I honestly couldn't put it down. I loved the scenery and the characters were very strong, felt like I really knew them. This book gripped me with suspense, at times I was crying with emotion and even more so laughing out loud with Tara and her NY friends, what great friendship and humor they shared. Interestingly I also found the book thought provoking, this gave the book an added depth I really enjoyed but most of all I loved the suspense factor, just as I thought the story was starting to wrap up something else would happen, so to say I was on the edge of my chair was an understatement. With such a mix, there is definitely something for everyone.

To sum up, The Lights Of Home really is an excellent read. I would highly recommend this Book!

Wow what a spellbinding read! It is captivating from start to finish, a real page turner.
You instantly feel like you know the characters, which are very engaging! Tara's compelling and satisfying journey takes on twists and turns, as she ventures through spiritual and emotional life changing events. She has some fab friends who bounce off each other, and made me laugh out loud! Especially Simon as he encounters country life! As for Shasta phew!
I would love this to be made into a movie and I can't wait to find out what happens next!
Will definitely be purchasing the next two books in the series from this Author.

I adored this book from start to finish. I had to put my life slightly on hold while I read it - it played havoc with my chores, it's utterly 'unputdownable'. I feel this is a very talented writer in terms of her creativeness - so wonderfully descriptive. Also, the author's imagination for the plot constantly surprised me, so many great twists and turns. It's a romance but so much more in terms of the surprises from the plot and the spiritual nature of the story. A refreshing read and a truly heart-warming story which I look forward to continuing when I get hold of the next book.

This is the first book that I have managed to read all the way through on Kindle, haven't been able to get used to a screen and not a 'proper book' until now. It is a brilliant read so now I have purchased the next one in the series, thank you.

Really enjoyed this book - great mixture of romance, suspense and a bit of spiritual stuff in the mix. The characters were believable and I loved the bits where Tara's friends from back in NYC came to visit her in the quirky small town of Big Spruce - made for some funny moments too. A very easy, enjoyable read.
