One tournament with the power to break the world apart. One team that can hold it all together. All they have to do is win.

In the near future, a shadowy organization runs a secret competition with the power to control the fates and fortunes of millions.

Frank Youngsmith lives a simple nine-to-five life as an insurance adjuster right alongside it, none the wiser. Day after day, he slogs through the same routine. Until the day he gets handed a case that pulls him into the underground world of political conspiracy, intrigue, and blood sport known only as the tournament.

Frank’s discovery quickly becomes a global phenomenon. A life or death game with legions of fans. The tournament gives normal men and women from around the globe the chance to change the world. All they have to do is win.

But the tournament has a dark history, and if the more brutal teams have their way, it has a dark future ahead of it as well. One team stands in their way, captained by Ellie Willmore, a young woman still trying to write her own story. Ellie has it within her to steer the tournament for the better, but if she ever hopes to succeed, she’ll need to pull off a miracle: unite sworn enemies to beat the best of the best.

This complete box set contains the first three books in the Amazon #1 Best-selling Tournament series: Blue Fall (Book 1), Grey Winter (Book 2), and Black Spring (Book 3).

After reading the first book I quickly downloaded this compendium - books 1 to 3. I highly recommend this book and series to you, it's fast paced, believable, action packed, great characters, ...some you cheer for and some you boo at... what a great story. I'm off to get the last book now, I couldn't put it down and only did so when I needed to process either what had happened or what was coming. Thanks for writing such a great story.

Fascinating set of books. The idea behind the stories, that 3 people will fight instead of countries going to war, is a clever one, but the reality is that people are betting on the outcome.
However I can definitely recommend these books to anyone who doesn't mind a bit of violence in their reading.

The relentless pace pulls the reader in and it did make me finish it. Unfortunately, the basic premise of the tournament is unbelievable, it uses the ancient idea of disputes being settled by a battle of champions instead of a war. It is fought on the streets (and other places) with members of the public getting hurt, property getting damaged and chaos being caused, yet somehow the competitors are untouchable by the authorities who turn a blind eye. Even more unbelievable is that initially it is supposed to be secret.

If you want to read some fast moving combat scenes then read it, otherwise give it a miss.

Enjoyed all through though the last battle seemed like for ever. Good story, worth reading. Written well and with thought of continuity.

There's a lot of this book - so if you like it you will definitely get your money's worth.
The story follows the progress of an international game, where teams compete to shoot each other. The twist is that they have special weaponry, so that even if they are shot competitors don't actually die. Which of course is a good set up if you want to write a lot of fight scenes. Now the author can write action, but it does get a little repetitive. I assume it took inspiration from video games, where you keep trying to kill the same people and the next time round they still keep coming back. The characters aren't sufficiently differentiated for me to care much about them, but I did enjoy the relentless pace.

Possibly one of the best books I've had the pleasure of reading in a very long time. It had me hooked from beginning to end, could not wait to read the next page and really disappointed when I'd finished. Bring on the screen adaptation, it could be as big as the Hunger Games. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have rarely found a series of books that I couldn't put down, that held my attention and left me wanting more and more. This series is beyond a good read, it is a literary orgasm! Very well written in the perfect language to accompany the story. Graphic enough without being vulgar, which is a very rare find these days! I personally want to express my sincere thanks to this author for sharing their unbelievable talent with the world. What an amazing and precious gift! Definitely a five star recommended read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep reading

The start of the book is slow. Keep reading.

The fights in the middle of book 1 are very well done. Worth reading the book for these. Great descriptions, interesting scenarios, and fascinating motivations.

I hated the ending of book 1. Keep reading.

The start and the middle of book two are slow. Keep reading.

The end of book 2 is amazing and makes up for the ending of book 1 and the rest of book 2.

The start of book 3 is slow but understandable setup. Keep reading.

Interesting science and political stuff in the middle of book 3.

Final battle scene at end of book 3 is well done. Not as good as the battle scenes in the middle of book 1 though. Satisfying conclusion, no cliff hangers.

Overall: while the idea was interesting, right up until the end of the second book I never thought I'd give this book collection 5 stars. Well written throughout but the start of all of the books are slow and the end of the first book was discouraging. I wasn't fond of all of the characters and amount of time spent on some was annoying. However, everything tied together very well and the three books combined make a compelling, well written story. My main message is to just keep reading. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the completed trilogy.

4.0 out of 5 stars A comprehensive thriller and action book
Reviewed in India on 12 October 2018
The plot seemed very interesting for me to pick this up and really it was very interesting. While the first part itself is quite comprehensive in almost everything, be it action or thrill or mystery or suspense, it is the second part "Grey Winter" which will steal the show in my opinion.

The pandemonium and chaos is abundant in the book and the second part is very well written to reflect the same. Once you are on the second part, you just can't put the book down. "Black Spring" is a good and right ending for the book which is again quite interesting. It seemed a bit stretched though. could have been a bit short as conclusion was evident anyway.

A great book with fresh concept and narrative.
