About the author

Jennie Marts is the USA TODAY Best-selling author of award-winning books filled with love, laughter, and always a happily ever after. Readers call her books “laugh out loud” funny and the “perfect mix of romance, humor, and steam.” Fic Central claimed one of her books was “the most fun I’ve had reading in years.”
She is living her own happily ever after in the mountains of Colorado with her husband, two dogs, and a parakeet who loves to tweet to the oldies. She’s addicted to Diet Coke, adores Cheetos, and believes you can’t have too many books, shoes, or friends.
Her books range from western romance to cozy mysteries but they all have the charm and appeal of quirky small town life. She loves genre-mashups like adding romance to her Page Turners cozy mysteries and creating the hockey-playing cowboys in the Cowboys of Creedence. The same small town community comes to life with more animal antics in her latest Creedence Horse Rescue series. And her sassy heroines and hunky heroes carry over in her heartwarming, feel good romances from Hallmark Publishing. Take the Honey and Run is her newest cozy mystery in the A Bee Keeping Mystery series.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseAbsolutely loved this book, it was a little bit of mystery, who dunnit and humour. I found the characters hilarious and loved Edna the most. Maggie is a lawyer, mother and divorcee and this story is based around her life and her new boyfriend, Jeremy, and a murder at his office in the company he owns. The story keeps you guessing to the end, one minute I thought he was guilty the next someone else from within the office so for that reason alone I gave it 5 stars as so often these types of books are so obvious but not this one.
A great read and will be reading more from Jennie marts in the future.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 July 2017Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseAn easy to read book, with some twists and fun characters. The writer keeps you guessing about the ending, keeping an air of mystery between the hope and wonder of happy ever after or the cynical belief of no such thing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 February 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseGreat book. Great story line. Great characters. A mixture of serious and funny fun loving moments. Not a guaranteed ending and I loved Jeremy. Was he or was he not the 'bad' guy. Keep writing books like this Jennie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Klasse Fortsetzung!
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseInhalt:
Another Saturday Night and I Ain’t Got No Body“ weiter.
Just Another Maniac Monday“ Ednas Geschichte erzählt.
Page Turners Reihe:
Band 1 (Sunny): Another Saturday Night and I Ain’t Got No Body
Band 2 (Maggie): Easy Like Sunday Mourning
Band 3 (Edna): Just Another Maniac Monday
Band 4 (Zoey): Tangled Up In Tuesday
Fazit:

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun read--I love the title!
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseMaggie Hayes, divorced mother of two, is just beginning to dip her toe back into the relationship pool. As a closet video gamer, she is delighted when she meets Jeremy Rogers, owner of the video game production company that designed her favorite game. After dating for a few months, Maggie can feel her defenses relaxing, and she realizes just how much she cares for Jeremy. When Jeremy’s employee is murdered, and he becomes a person of interest, Maggie and her friends start their own investigation. They’re determined to clear Jeremy and find the real killer.
Easy Like Sunday Mourning by Jennie Marts is the second book of her Page Turners Novels. It is such an enjoyable read. All the members of the Page Turners book club that were introduced in the first book are back. What a great cast! The women in this book club are such good friends. They are funny, fun, and very loyal to one another. Although this book is more romance than mystery, the mystery is solidly crafted. I loved the humor and chuckled my way right through to the end. These characters are just so appealing—I found I didn’t want to put this book down and read it in one sitting.
Now, I am hoping the author reads this review because I have a request. I’m getting quite attached to Officer McCarthy and would love to see
Ms. Marts find someone special for him. (Can’t hurt to ask, right? LOL) I’m looking forward to reading Book 3. If romantic comedy is your thing, give this book a try. Happy reading!

4.0 out of 5 stars Both a murder mystery and a romantic disaster novel
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseWonderful loveable and bumbling cast of characters in this amazing second installment of the Page Turners cozy mysteries.
Maggie was married, although you do get the single mother vibe from her.
Before her husband left her for a Hooters waitress, he was self absorbed.
His family, wife and two sons, was convenient only to show how "successful" he was.
Maggie is beautiful and intelligent and still not quite over the anger of being left for a "newer model"
when her ex decides he wants to move back in - and make moves on Maggie as well.
Maggie has a wonderful eclectic group of friends of various ages, from teen to senior citizen.
They, and their husbands, are all called upon to help when Maggie's recent boyfriend (she doesn't care for that term at her age) becomes the suspect in an employee's death at his video game design company.
The eveidence seems damning and even Maggie, who happens to be a lawyer, begins to doubt how well she knows
her new beau, Jeremy.
A buxoumous blonde, who is also Jeremy's employee, does nothing to make Maggie feel any better.
This is both a murder mystery and a romantic disaster novel. There is no shorttage of handsome men.
Maggie seems to catch all of their attention.
Also included is automotive adventure - road rage and kidnapping, life threatening stuff.
One of my favorite sections was a road trip to Comic-Con. And of course Chewie, not the Star Wars one.
