    I've been looking for a good book on hypnosis for quite a while, and some of the books I've tried have been awful, with the authors taking a holier-than-thou or better-than-you attitude which directly conflicts with all the knowledge I've been building so far - one even had the Author claiming she could cure cancer! I'm so glad I found this book, because it has none of these terrible qualities.

    This is by far the best book on the subject I have seen so far, and the Author clearly knows what he is doing. I will certainly be continuing with this series of books, and find that (again, in contrast to plenty of others I have read) it meshes quite well with my related studies of NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming).

    Anyone with a wish to understand the fascinating subjects of hypnosis, NLP and how the human mind works internally can benefit from reading this, and I would even say the book is written in a manner which elicits a hypnotic quality all of it's own (and if a book about hypnosis hypnotises you, the Author must have some skill in this area!)

    Excellent read, looking forward to moving on to book 2 and beyond - I wouldn't say it was a one-stop shop and (for me) it could have been a little more comprehensive, but definitely a good starting point and very useful to those who have already accomplished some study and are looking for more perspectives.

I felt as though I was in a trance while reading it, to be honest (which was probably intentional). Definitely worth the teeny-tiny price-tag.     Having read a few heavier (and, quite frankly, boring) text books about hypnotism I was really glad when I chanced across this. What I love about the Rogue Hypnotist is that you get really excellent quality advice and instruction on how to do hypnosis but in such a down to earth (and quite often hilariously irreverent) way. It is written with passion and reality at the forefront, this is someone who knows their craft well and is going all out to demystify hypnosis, bring it in to this Century and make it accessible to anyone. It is also written by someone who genuinely seems to care about people, has a genuine passion for helping and healing, and tries to get the message across that, although anyone can learn to do this stuff, it is important to use it sensitively and responsibly. Hypnotherapy is supposed to benefit the person being hypnotised not the person doing the hypnosis!

Jedenfalls schulde ich diesem Teufel ein ehrliches ,Danke Heil Satan!', denn dieser und die darauf aufbauenden Bände des Rogue Hypnotist sind das beste, logischste, in sich zusammenhängendste und einfach geschwurbelfreieste, das ich in diesem Bereich bisher gelesen habe. Darüber hinaus ist der Text unterhaltsam und professionell geschrieben.
    Inhaltlich erklärt dieser Band, was Hypnose eigentlich genau ist und nach welchen Prinzipien sie funktioniert. In akademikerfreier, esoterikfreier, bulls***freier So-wirds-gemacht-Sprache.
    Ich habe mir alle vertiefenden Nachfolgebände ebenfalls zugelegt, die mich auch begeistern konnten.
