What is the secret to delivering a great TED talk?
What is the magic ingredient that makes a TED talk captivating?
And more importantly, how can you use those secrets to make your presentations more powerful, dynamic and engaging?
To try to answer these questions, I studied over 200 of the best TED talks. I broke each TED talk down in terms of structure, message and delivery.
Here’s what I discovered. After studying over 200 TED talks, the one commonality among all the great TED talks is that they contain stories.
UTILIZE ADVANCED STORYTELLING TECHNIQUES TO INJECT LIFE INTO YOUR PRESENTATIONS
Essentially, the best speakers on the TED stage were the ones who had mastered the art of storytelling. They had mastered how to craft and present their stories in a way that allowed them to share their message with the world without seeming like they were lecturing their audience.

I've learned so much in only so little pages. For people who want to learn how to hold a presentation, speak in public or just tell a story perfectly and don't have time to waste reading books of over 500 words, this book is exactly what you need.
An added bonus is that it lead me to some of the most amazing an inspiring TED talks I've ever heard. I highly recommend it!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseNot bad as an intro. Perhaps a little more examples per chapter. But this is a cheap intro only so worth a look for those who've never considered the central role of storytelling in presentation.

Something to take with you and read again and again when in need of inspiration. From creatives, to corporate leaders, I reckon Akash's words can be an inspiration for everyone in the game.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 March 2019Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseIn Ireland, where I come from, we’re brought up on stories. At school; in the pub; with our families - we rejoice in telling stories.
The only thing is we seem to forget about storytelling when it comes to business. We become boring, banal and obsessd with powerpoint. That’s because we haven’t been taught how to structure and deliver our message in a story format.
This book will change that instantly. It’s powerful, punchy and immediately usable. I have read many of the Amazon Best Selling books on storytelling for business and this book absolutely stands out as the best in terms of content, relevance and brevity.
Well done Akash.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2018Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseIt's an overpriced book (or a booklet) with useful, however very succint, tips for giving a talk.

4.0 out of 5 stars You'll improve your speeches and presentations
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseAs a person who gives speeches regularly I really enjoyed this book. The ideas for improving speeches were great and the use of Ted Talk examples were helpful. I liked the end of chapter summaries for referencing back to. The only thing I didn't like was the advertising during the book to get you into his courses but I can overlook that as information was very helpful.
