What readers say about Alexa Grace’s Profile of Evil:
“From the first page, the reader is riveted! And it only gets better as the storyline proceeds. Ms. Grace again shows her brilliance at being able to weave a top notched, well researched fictional work, along with just enough details to make your mind jump with imagery of the plight of teenaged girls lured to their death, or worse, sexual slavery. The pace is good. It is an easy read, but by no means easy to comprehend the evil in the antagonist's mind. I found myself shuddering to think that such evil is in the world and could even be right next door--and you might not even know it.” —Mama Meme
“Like all of Alexa Grace's previous books this one puts the readers on full-alert; it is a high-voltage, fraught-with-danger, vicarious experience that is and super-charged with breathtaking love... Ms. Grace created another riveting story that assails the senses and churn your emotions.” —Heather Coulter
“What an explosive start to a new trilogy!!! Alexa Grace has done it again. Profile of Evil is a page turner from start to finish. It's got everything! Romance, suspense, action, drama and of course the happy ending we all want. The story line is well-developed. Brody's and Carly's story is a great way to start another sure hit series. Highly recommended!!!” —D.B. Tan (Bookworm)
From the Author
Do you think you'll ever write outside of the suspense/thriller genre?
I doubt that I will. Suspense and thriller writing is what I was meant to do. It's my passion.
Which of your characters were the most challenging to write?
The sexual sadist, serial killer in PROFILE OF EVIL has been the most challenging to write because his character required so much research. I was determined that his character, behaviors, and actions be credible so I researched by reading books written by profilers, discussed with my subject matter experts, and did extensive Internet research. This research was also needed so I could write an accurate profile for my profiler Carly Stone character.
In my book, PROFILE OF EVIL, Carly Stone is a brilliant FBI agent who's seen more than her share of evil. Leaving the agency, she becomes a consultant for Indiana County Sheriff Brody Chase. He needs her help to catch an online sex predator who is luring teenage girls to their death in his community.
A life hangs in the balance, and the two rush to stop the most terrifying killer of their careers — and time is running out.
Alexa Grace books, Deadly Offerings and Profile of Evil, have been recognized by RT Book Reviews as Top Picks. Profile of Terror was awarded Best Romantic Suspense of 2014 by the Little Shop of Readers Reviewers Choice.

"... great chemistry, a great sexual tension, and enough drama to fill a corn field... really great mystery, with just a touch of horror in the form of a serial killer...I definitely recommend this if you are into romantic suspense novels!"
— Liz at Fictional Candy
"Up-and-coming author, Alexa Grace, captivates with her literary debut - the Deadly Series, a romantic suspense police procedural series. Masterfully weaving current, past, and future characters throughout, readers are afforded the opportunity to not only attain and retain beloved relationships, but also intimately connect mentally to primary and secondary individuals through glimpses into - at times disturbingly dark - thought processes." Five Stars!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2017This is the first book I have read by Alexa Grace and what a brilliant book it is. Every parents worse nightmare, sexual predators grooming children and in this case, a cop. Profile of Evil has a really good balance of being a police/FBI thriller and a romantic, love story. I will be looking for more books by Alexa Grace. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrillers but more for women who like the romantic side of it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 July 2014I have enjoyed all the books by this author so far, the storylines are good... HOWEVER! When hero finally gets together with heroine and the subsequent lovemaking ensues, it is as iff she has pasted the scene from one book to another and I have got to the stage where I say "oh no, not again"!! The wording and the 'actions' are all so similar. Otherwise, a good read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2013I am a great Alexa Grace fan after reading her 'Deadly' books and I was really looking forward to the next set and I must say I was not disappointed, found the plot fast paced with strong characters would recommend to anyone and looking forward to the next book in the trilogy.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 September 2013I really liked this book, it had everything you would expect from this genre, Suspense, action, drama, romance and of course that lovely alpha male. An action packed book, a little predictable, but I can live with that when it's been well written. Would definitely read more by this author ;D
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 August 2013'Ripped' men 'beautiful' women and blah, blah, blah. I bought 3 Alexa Grace novels at the same time. If I had bought one, I wouldn't have bothered buying any more. Well written but so predictable.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 May 2013Once again Alexa didn't disappoint with this first novel of her new series. I couldn't put it down. It's fast moving storyline gets you hooked on the characters and the plot, along with the usual steamy scenes that add interest! I can't wait for the next one in the series.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 June 2013I have really enjoyed Alexa Grace's Profile Series, each book unravels a little more about the cast of characters. They have just the right amount of romance, drama and suspense and keep you page turning till the very end. Looking forward to another please..
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 May 2014I cannot recommend this book enough. I enjoyed every minute of it. The characters are very lifelike and unlike other books this one did not have the predictable parts others do. The twist was great and I could not guess who the killer was which I normally get an idea of. I'm moving on to the next one right now

5.0 out of 5 stars Profile of Evil - Wow Alexa Grace has moved me!
Have you ever read a book that had a profound impact on your life and thought process? I just finished Alexa Grace's newest book "Profile of Evil", and I can truly say without a doubt that every parent of a preteen should read this book!
How much do we know about what our pre teens are doing on the Internet? It is frightening how insightful and thought provoking "Profile of Evil" is. Do our kids understand the depth of the evil and deception people are capable of via the Internet? This book made me think harder about the innocence of our youth and how easy it is to deceive anyone much less an impressionable pre-teen who believe they can only find love and acceptance from strangers.
Profile of Evil takes us to the depths of evil and deception that prays on the innocence of our youth!
But that is not all we get from this book; Alexa takes us on a journey into evil against children, but at the same time we discover 2 people who have been hurt and deprived of what we all long for...the love of a lifetime!
Brody had to grow up fast feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders when his mother died and he took on raising his brothers at a young age. Carly has seen things no one ever wants to experience and been burned by someone she trusted. Together they discover love and passion in a trying time and draw strength from each other while learning to live with the dangers of their chosen professional fields.
The strength of all of Alex's characters truly amazes me! The balance she maintains in her books is inspiring to say the least. While we struggle to come to grips with the evil, we are drawn to the passion and love between Brody and Carly.
Alex Grace continues to stir a mix of emotions in all of her books. She never leaves me wanting! The amount of research she puts into her books is evident in the details she writes about all of the elements of the storyline.
Whether it is police drama, romance, passion or mystery you are seeking, "Profile of Evil" has it all and with the perfect amount of details and sensitivity to the inhumane treatment of the pre teens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Trilogy in the making
Profile of Evil, is another great Trilogy in the making..... This book is packed with action, drama, romance, there is something for everyone, I read the book in two days, I just could not put it down. I loved the story line developing between Brody & Carly. It was also nice to see Characters from the deadly trilogy, weaved into this new series. I have loved every book that Alexa Grace has written. I can't wait to see where book two will take Brody, Carly, and his brothers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I noticed that the lowest rating this book has is 3-stars (at least as of the date that I'm writing this review.) I think that's pretty telling of how good it is since typically someone, somewhere tosses a 1- or 2-star review out there which is kind of expected since we all think differently. That this book has no nay-sayers is indicative of its quality. Profile of Evil is the first book I read by Alexa Grace and it won't be my last. The plot is nicely covered in the summary so I won't repeat it. There is awesome chemistry between Carly and Brody, I enjoyed learning about their sibling relationships as the book moved on, and bonus points for the fact that I didn't figure out who the "bad person" was until the end when it was revealed. Jackpot when you add in solid editing. And how about the first meeting of Brody and Carly? Enjoyed that one, and also how each recovered from it. The sexual tension was good, and when they acted on that the description was well written (just the right amount of sizzle--and there is sizzle--but not anything that made me feel uncomfortable.) There is some...okay lots of...evil in the book and it impacts young girls in a variety of ways. That aspect is not something that the author dances around but it's also not gratuitous, and unfortunately some of this affects "real" young people (male and female) on a daily basis in our crazy world. Makes you want to hug your kids extra close. While reading PoE, I was sad for some of the young teens I was introduced to, and I cheered for another. I also met a couple of young people I'd like to slap silly.
There were a few places where the dialogue became just a little stilted. Once when Brody was leading a meeting I felt like he was talking to strangers instead of colleagues. It seemed like Bryan was introduced by name and title a few times to people who would have recognized him simply as "Bryan". Those are nits, though, and didn't reduce my overall enjoyment of the book. Do yourself a favor and read this one. This is where I stop typing so that I can search for the next Alexa Grace novel to download to my kindle.

3.0 out of 5 stars Conclusion of back stories
Ryder and his sister murder their parents and take off. Then nothing. Did they change their name?? Tie up loose ends. Important back story. Story is good. Will read on but if you include an important event you need to explain further. More flesh to the story and a bit less on highly exaggerated sexual prowess perhaps?
