Annihilate Me (Vol. 1) : An Office Romance Billionaire Romantic Suspense Series (The Annihilate Me Series) Kindle Edition
THE SERIES WITH MORE THAN 3.5 MILLION BOOKS SOLD WORLDWIDE
The business of love is dangerous.
For Jennifer Kent, a recent MBA graduate who has been searching for work in Manhattan for four long months, time and money are running out. If she doesn't find work soon, she'll need to return to her native Maine, where the job situation is worse.
And where her abusive parents lie in wait.
But when an unorthodox arrangement is proposed, Jennifer decides to take it. She agrees to be the "girlfriend" of Alexander Wenn, the reluctant, billionaire CEO of Wenn Enterprises, who is so devastatingly good looking, he needs a beautiful woman like Jennifer on his arm to "keep the wolves at bay."
In this case, the wolves are other women, all of whom vie for his attention so aggressively, they keep him from focusing on business at the exclusive events he must attend. Damaged by a past event, the only thing Alex wants to do is focus on work.
And to forget his dark past.
But can Jennifer deny their white-hot chemistry? Can Alex do the same? As they move into the glittering world of New York society and big business, where deals are struck and fortunes are made, the struggle to resist each other isn’t just real. It’s an almost impossible feat they nevertheless must meet.
Armed with her MBA, Jennifer Kent knows about business. But what she doesn't know is what could destroy her--the business of protecting her own heart. And maybe her own life when danger strikes in an all-out effort to end it.
Don’t miss Annihilate Me, the first book in Christina Ross’ sizzling Annihilate Me series, a steamy, harrowing read which is now complete.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 January 2015Predictable story-line but I liked the romantic build-up. It was sexy without the sex and that was refreshing.. I just felt that Jennifer was too sassy not to have had lovers and Alex more nervous and less business-like than his position commanded....I guess that I'll read the next book as I'm curious as to how they'll handle the next steps. Overall a good read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 September 2013How refreshing to read a book of this calibre that doesn't take the reader straight into the bedroom! The tale of two damaged peoples' totally different pasts unwinds around the harsh business world of wheelers and dealers, and their mutual respect grows slowly with the help of Jennifer's childhood friend and confidant, Lisa. An adorable up and coming writer who is always ready to give her friend sound advise. Ms Blackwell guides Jennifer into the cloak-and-dagger world of the rich and privileged with exhilaratingly clipped words and humour. Alex inherited his father's empire and is very wary regarding the women in his social circles, and is astounded to find a woman, Jennifer, that knows how to say, "NO." I read book one and two in two days and can't wait to download book three on 20th September. I highly recommend this book and would like to say to Ms Ross; "Brilliant."
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 June 2013I loved this! The story is realistic, and builds nicely through this first book. The character building is fab, I love ms Blackwell with a passion, and Jennifer is a refreshingly feisty female lead. She has a spine, and a good mouth, with ample brains to back it up! As for Alex, well I'm smitten! He's just lovley, apart from his little "blip" on their first "date", he had me swooning.
A very well written story with a lot of suspense and sexual tension.
I can't wait to find out if all goes well when we pick up from where we left of...:)
Very very well received debut novel....my 1 and only hang up....? It's quite short....that may be because I didn't want it to end though :)
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 September 2016Sassy and jobless, lands on her feet meeting a troubled ever so handsome billionaire, etc.
Throw in a jealous vain villainess and a snooty coworker and the best friend roomie and you have yourself a delicious cocktail.
Characters and dialogue good and the pace was steady, but it was too short, it needed a few more chapters and then a cliffhanger to make you buy the next book.
I liked it but it would be better as a complete book rather than parts.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 June 2013Loved the characters and the romance was intrigued by the life style, and as a lover of fashion could only imagine like the character in the story what it felt like to be indulged in those clothes and also was so pleased with how you the author dealt with the storyline of abusive behaviour didn't want the story to end have ordered the next couple of books and will look forward to seeing how this story goes forward I love a good read and for me this was great.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 December 2013Wow, just discovered Christina Ross. Think she is a fantastic author. Really enjoyed the Annihilate me series, it was so addictive, couldn't wait to read the four books. Just about to start on the Annihilate me Holiday book, which I understand is a bridge between this and the next series by Ross. Which I am waiting with baited breath to find out when release date is.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 June 2013I thought this was fantastic. I read it in two nights. I was hooked from the beginning. One or two grammar mistakes but they are so easy to look past. I enjoyed the story purely because it wasn't about steamy scenes (in fact there was none) it was more the lead up to a relationship. Kinda like the first few dates. The story keeps you gripped and doesn't lose momentum. I will certainly be reading the next books to see where the story goes. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 October 2015I don't often say that about a book. I enjoyed the characters and the setting of the book. Blackwell is a hoot. The book stopped before the best part. But instead of being annoyed I really want to read what happens next. Nicely done Christina.

5.0 out of 5 stars CAPTIVATING
Annihilate Me by Christina Ross is a fast-paced and addictive romance that blends glamour, high-stakes drama, and undeniable chemistry into a story that is both thrilling and swoon-worthy. This contemporary romance captures the intensity of an unconventional relationship set against the backdrop of corporate intrigue and personal ambition.
The story follows Jennifer Kent, an ambitious young woman hired by a powerful business tycoon, Alex Wenn, to act as his “girlfriend” for publicity purposes. Alex, a fiercely independent billionaire, is determined to fend off unwanted romantic advances that threaten to interfere with his professional life. What begins as a strictly business arrangement soon evolves into something far more complicated—and far more dangerous.
Ross does an excellent job of crafting a romance that feels both electric and believable. Jennifer is a strong and relatable heroine, and her wit, determination, and independence make her a refreshing lead. Alex, on the other hand, is the quintessential brooding billionaire—charming yet guarded. Their chemistry is palpable, with moments of tension and tenderness that keep readers invested in their relationship.
What sets Annihilate Me apart is its infusion of suspense and intrigue. The corporate backdrop adds a layer of complexity, as Jennifer and Alex navigate not only their personal feelings but also external threats and power struggles. The stakes feel real, and the fast-paced narrative ensures there’s never a dull moment.
The writing is engaging, with crisp dialogue and vividly described settings that transport readers to the opulent world of the ultra-rich. While some tropes might feel familiar to fans of the billionaire romance genre, Ross’s dynamic storytelling and sharp characterizations keep the story fresh and compelling.
If you’re looking for a romance that combines passion, danger, and a touch of luxury, Annihilate Me delivers in spades. It’s a captivating read that will leave you eagerly reaching for the next installment in the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Start!
I got hooked right away with "Annihilate Me" and enjoyed the story a lot. It reminded me somehow of FSoG, which I didn't mind at all. The chemistry between the eligible billionaire Alexander Wenn and the bright but jobless college graduate Jennifer Kent was awesome, and I could actually feel the tension building. But I'm glad that the complete series has already been published, because this book just ended when the relationship of Alex and Jennifer actually starts.
Of course, the two main characters were smart and sexy and devastatingly beautiful, and there is nothing wrong with that in romance. Their first encounter was great, and I was thrilled to read about how they would manage to meet again and what would happen after that. I can't help it, this book just was a page turner for me. Seriously, after Jennifer landed a "job" with Wenn Enterprises and the unbelievable Ms. Blackwell got her all dolled up, I couldn't wait for that elevator door to open.
So far, this series is a modern fairy tale to me, and I think I will go all the way through until I'll get my "...and they lived happily ever after". This is a great start for a series and my hopes are high for the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hooked right from the start.... So much it like a compulsive addiction to keep reading
Have you ever read a book where just a few pages in, you just know it is going to be one of those books you can't put down.. And then just after a few chapters you just want to know the whole story... And at the end of the book you realise you found another author that is on your "must read list".
Well this book was 'that' book for me and Christina Ross is that author for me.
I was absolutely hooked right from the very first page and the more I read the more it felt like I had a compulsive addiction to keep reading... To the point where I had to keep reading the entire series and secondary series.
I truly recommend this book and the entire series and secondary series to you.... All of which I was happy to buy and read.... And now I cant wait for the next release by this talented author.
