5.0 out of 5 stars ~~From Salads to Soups with some Skin Care at the End~~
Reviewed in the United States on 23 July 2014
This cookbook has an assortment of recipes that are inexpensive to make as well as nutritious. I am always looking for ease of preparation in a recipe as well as low cost and healthy ingredients.

The white bean and tuna salad caught my eye at the beginning. Tuna, white beans, onion, black olives, lemon, parsley, mint and sunflower oil.. Doesn't get much easier than that to prepare.

Next the baby spinach salad appealed to me. My spinach is ready in the garden and this recipe has everything in it that I enjoy. Add some red pepper, cherry tomatoes, onions, black olives, oregano, garlic, vinegar, and olive oil PLUS feta and you are ready for a wonderful salad.

Next on my list, the Fatoush which I had never heard of before. This one has lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, radishes, onion, parsley, mint, olive oil, lemon juice with some toasted pita bread crumbled into the mix! Outstanding mix of ingredients.

Last but certainly not least is the one the author titled "Mish Mash". Of course, I was curious to see the ingredients in this one. Onions, pepper, tomato, garlic, eggs, olive oil, parsley and once again Feta cheese.. This is a recipe that will be made soon in my house.

The author also includes some skin care ideas at the end that are most informative.

All in all, a most varied collection of recipes. I must admit that I will go back and pay closer attention to the soups at a later date. Today our temperature is nearing 90 degrees and I am thinking cold and not hot.

    Most highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars FULL Recipe Book
Reviewed in the United States on 7 May 2013
I really appreciate a recipe book that has some RECIPES in it! There seems to be a growing trend towards 'get rich quick' people jotting down one or a very FEW recipes, calling it a BOOK, and wanting to charge an arm & a leg for it (after it is no longer "Free") so when cookbooks that have Multiple recipes inclosed come along it is a nice, refreshing change towards "Normal".

Enclosed in this ebook are OVER A HUNDRED recipes that look enticing and worth trying.

This book would have warranted five stars if it had cost $3.00 instead of $3.50 after the free promotion is over. To my way of thinking that fifty cents is just a tad too much and sends it from VERY fair to a borderline unfair asking price.

I enjoyed many of these meals as a child but know that as a senior there wasn't a good fit in my restricted diet.
