Look For Me (A Rachel Scott prequel) (A Rachel Scott Adventure) Kindle Edition
Amazon International Bestselling Author Traci Hohenstein brings readers an exciting prequel to the popular Rachel Scott series. Look For Me is a page turning, suspenseful read with so many twists and turns you’ll stay up all night reading it.
Three-year-old Mallory Scott has disappeared from her home in the exclusive Bal Harbour neighborhood of North Miami. With no eye witnesses and very few clues, Rick and Rachel Scott have experienced every parent’s worst nightmare.
After weeks of looking for their daughter, Rachel’s hopelessness and desperation has grown out of control at the lack of leads in her daughter's case. When another toddler vanishes in a nearby city, Rachel begins to wonder if there is a connection. She leaves her socialite life and high-profile real estate career to help find him.
As the search for Mallory and the missing toddler continues, Rachel uncovers a startling secret that will change her life forever--and she discovers just how far she is willing to go to find her own daughter.
Look For Me is a must read for any fan of the Rachel Scott series, or an ideal starting point for new readers.
What readers are saying about Traci Hohenstein's books:
PRAISE FOR LOOK FOR ME:
5 stars Amazon Reviewer – “A great story that shows not only a mothers love but also how a disaster can make a person stronger while destroying all that is around them. A heart wrenching story.”
5 stars from Night Owl Reviewer – “Traci Hohenstein's latest offering, LOOK FOR ME, a novella that is a "prequel" to her bestselling Rachel Scott series, will not disappoint either fans of the series or newcomers…”
4 stars on Goodreads – “This was truly a gut wrenching prequel, the only book I’ve read in the series. Well written, almost out of experience, that realistic. Superb read, and will continue the series.”
PRAISE FOR ASYLUM HARBOR:
5 Star Amazon Review: “I have read all three of the books by Traci Hohenstein regarding the Rachel Scott Adventures. Once I read the first book I could not wait to get to the next book. The Asylum Harbor is full of thrills and suspense as Rachel Scott searches for the kidnapped daughter of a prominent politician. The setting takes place in the Caribbean. A fantastic read."
PRAISE FOR BURN OUT:
5 Star from Wistfulskimmies Book Review – “Kept me glued to the page! I thoroughly enjoyed this. It had me gripped from page 1. I thought I had it all sewn up at one point but the story took me off onto another tangent.”
PRAISE FOR CUT AND RUN:
5 Star Amazon Vine Reviewer – “SUBERB THIRD BOOK. This is the third book in the Rachel Scott adventures and it is as good, if not better, than the previous two….The characterization is spot on and you get to know a lot more about Rachel and her background. The ending is superb but the very end left me begging for the next book to be out so I could buy and read it. This is a book you cannot put down and if you like mysteries I would highly recommend it.”
This e-book contains a bonus for readers: a sneak peek at Cut and Run, the third installment in the Rachel Scott series.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 April 2013I have read the first two books in the series following Rachel Scott and her search and rescue operation and decided to read this to fill in the back story of how she came to be without her daughter and set up omni search and rescue. This certainly helped and also gave a few more "clues" to Rachel and her private life. Looking forward now to the latest instalment-there is a sample included at the end of this prequel.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 October 2013I chose to download this book because I'd found the reviews of this author's work interesting and thought I'd start with the prequel. The story itself is believable and moved well. There are some occasional continuity errors, grammatical errors and circuitous sentence constructions which were distracting and I do wish the proof readers had picked up on those. Some characters were less well described than others and greater detail would have been more enjoyable.
Overall the book was well planned and I will try the next in the series.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 May 2013I bought this as I had read some of her books prior to the prequel, I enjoyed the story as it gave insight into the character as I had read her other books prior. I look forward to reading more of her stories they are enjoyable and easy reads.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 September 2013This character is a person who has formed a search and rescue of people who go missing whilst hoping in her heart she might be able to locate her own kidnapped daughter in her many quests which as you read each novel concerned you expect to read its conclusion , but intrigue leaves you want to read any follow on .
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 July 2014I loved this book. Different that it's about the abduction of a child from outside her home & that no-one sees anything. The mother Rachel then goes on to open an agency to try to recover her child & other children & anyone who go missing. Well worth reading.....
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 May 2013I found it ok as a plot but a bit easy to guess where it was going. Eventually I had worked out the plot before te bok got there and it was over in my mind. Its an easy read if you don't want to think too much
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2013i chose this rating because it was a good book it was a very good read some parts were not very good but over all it was a good book i would recommend this book to others to read
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 May 2014Good read but average story with a pre-tried plot child goes missing mum turns PI this is a novella prequel but holds nothing that would make me want to buy the others in the series

5.0 out of 5 stars Another hit for the Rachel Scott Series!
Traci Hohenstein's latest offering, LOOK FOR ME, a novella that is a "prequel" to her bestselling Rachel Scott series, will not disappoint either fans of the series or newcomers. Ms. Hohenstein has a way of describing a scene so that the reader actually feels he/she is participating in the action, and for me the only criticism i can offer is the book is too short at 97 pages LOL.
If you are a fan of suspense novels and television shows, then I would defintely suggest you pick up the Rachel Scott series and give it a try. This prequel is a good place to start for those who have yet to sample Ms. Hohenstein's books. If you like your suspense action packed with a good shot of realism then this is the series for you. 4.0 out of 5 stars Gut Punch
What a gut-punch kind of book! It begins with the abduction of a child, and like so many real-life stories, it doesn't give a happy ending, but I thought it was a well-written and plausible origin story for a character who makes it her mission in life to find the missing. She reminded me of John Walsh (host of America's Most Wanted), who was able to channel his grief and loss into a way to help people. I enjoyed Part 2 more than I did Part 1, because in the second part, Rachel finds her purpose and starts acting in ways that affected the storyline, instead of having things happen to her. In Part 2, Rachel showed that she is capable, determined and smart, and as a character, I'd be happy to read more stories that feature her. All in all, I am really glad I picked this book up when it was offered for free; I liked it and am willing to check out some of the other books in the series - although I DO hope Rachel eventually finds her daughter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Getting the Back Story
Look For Me is a great prequel to the Rachel Scott series. I read Burn Out some months ago and immediately connected with the main character. What I like about this is that you can read it before the series or after any of the other books. I've always been a back story type of person, so I really enjoyed going back, learning Rachel's history and discovering what motivated her to start the search and rescue organization. And, there were other characters to learn about. This was an easy read and I love the author's use of dialogue, which was very authentic.

3.0 out of 5 stars Look for me
I was disappointed that the book was just a prequel, should have dug further into the reviews. I am going to read the first book in the series and give it another shot. Hopefully the typos will all have been corrected and it will have a conclusion.
The book did pique my interest, but there was nothing of substance in the prequel to flesh that out. I'll let you know if things get better lol.
