Footsteps in the Sea Kindle Edition
'such a compelling read'
'Footsteps in the Sea' is the story of Helen, an apparently innocent child, whose obsession with her dead father and devotion to her mother lead to murder.
When she moves to Switzerland as a teenager to live with a doting uncle, it seems she has at last found a safe refuge where the past can be forgotten.
Her happiness is complete when she marries a wealthy Greek, who adores her, but soon the old ghosts return to haunt her.
Cryptic anonymous letters start to arrive for her from someone whose veiled threats appear to jeopardise everything Helen holds dear.
'A world of deep emotion and undying love with an unexpected twist at the ending'

About the author

Su Adams is 89 and lives in North Yorkshire, England.
She has written four books so far. The first one was called “Footsteps in the Sea” and she achieved “Amazon Top 10 Writer”. This was followed by “Nobody’s Killer” then “The Dragon in Paradise”. Her latest one “The Poisoned Legacy” is part fact, part fiction and based on the story of an aristocratic Polish family who were imprisoned and later sent to Siberia by the Russians in 1939.
Her books are all murder/mysteries, often set in a variety of exotic locations. Her stories always have “a twist in the tail” and she likes to keep her readers guessing to the very end.
She has travelled to many different parts of the world and worked in Jamaica for three years. On her return to the UK, she became a headteacher before moving to Western Australia, for a further twelve years, where she was a university lecturer teaching “English as a foreign language”.
She has always loved creative writing and is now writing her fifth book. She thanks all those who enjoy reading her books and she very much appreciates their continued support.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 February 2015In all honesty I cannot say that I 'enjoyed' this book, but found that I just could not put it down! The content was hardly joyful as one usually finds in greek based books.but if you like to be kept 'on edge'then this book is ideal, it is well written apart from the odd grammatical error. The characters at least were likeable. Maureen keeton, derbys.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2014a well written and enjoyable read.not my usual read.set in three countries Greece England and Switzerland.i liked the european feel.had it on my kindle for a while wish i'd read it sooner.recommended.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 April 2019A proofreader and editor would have been useful to improve the standard of this book. The poor grammar and other mistakes (use of the word 'shambling' to describe their rooms, describing their wedding day and start of their honeymoon then reverting to their decision to begin living together and using speech marks inappropriately are only a few examples) was very distracting. I found some of the phrases rather 'twee', for example 'their mutual passions were very easily aroused'. This book carried a banner: Amazon top ten writer. Thankfully this is not the standard in most of the books I read.
Unfortunately these numerous problems prevented me from wanting to read any further so I cannot comment on the storyline.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Value Read!
I was drawn into this book with it's choreographed dance of surprise and suspense. The story is full of throttle and gave a good insight into retrograde amnesia. Once I started I could not stop. A great debut novel with tight prose, complex emotions and plenty of suspense to keep you guessing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ripple effect
I liked this story. It was certainly different, although strange. There were some minor editing issues that distracted a bit, but overall I would recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to figure out!
First I must say that the story was well written. However to me there was not much mystery to the story at all. i had it figured out very quickly. The ending is a bit of a surprise but I prefer mysteries/suspense that keep me guessing throughout the story.

Enjoyed the book very much. I'm not a fan of stories that jump from one time period to another but in this case it worked perfectly.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read
The mother daughter enmeshment kept my interest. The ending surprised me. This book makes you take a look at parent child relationships.
