Minos Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 14 ratings

A dark and twisted psychological horror, Minos weaves the strands of its narrative to capture you in a web of intrigue.

Susan is being held captive by a madman in a forest. Meanwhile, Sam, a trainee doctor, takes the case of a catatonic patient whose husband has turned to drink to dampen his misery. Susan attempts escape while Sam attempts to illicit a response, the man in the hospital room next door ranting about a beast in the trees as Mrs. Adams’ husband tries to obliterate the past.

Minos is an absorbing thriller you’ll find hard to put down. Filled with twists and turns, you’ll be hooked until the very end.

I did not like the way the story jumped about from one scene to another so often, but in a way it did make you keep your wits about you.

I did like the attention to detail of the various descriptions in each chapter, be they of food, clothing, feelings or whatever.

An interesting book but one full of pain. I wonder if the writing of it acted as a release mechanism for the author?

Another great and twisted tale from this master of horror. I have read most of Edwin's horror novellas and they never fail to disappoint. I enjoyed the hint of mysticism which the author glides into the story, despite the real world setting.

I have to admit the story left me confused and I didn't like some of the descriptive eating scenes. Grotesque.

I picked this book up during a free trial and I'm glad I did. It was an interesting read, I enjoyed the story line, though the ending didn't really make a ton of sense to me. The writing was good, the characters well-developed, and the story itself was compelling. Totally worth picking up, especially at a great price!
