From the author of WHAT GOES AROUND. A family held together by lies but about to be torn apart by a devastating secret . . . Perfect for fans of Louise Jensen and Jenny Blackhurst.

When her teenage son Robbie's drink is spiked, Olivia Somers is devastated. She has spent her adult life trying to protect people and keep them safe - not only as a mother, but also in her chosen profession as a doctor.

So she tries to put it down to a horrible accident, in spite of the evidence suggesting malicious intent, and simply hopes no-one tries to endanger those she loves again.

But someone from the past is after revenge.
Someone closer to her family than she could possibly realise.
Someone who will stop at nothing until they get the vengeance they crave.

And, as she and her family come under increasing threat, the oath that Olivia took when she first became a doctor - to do no harm to others - will be tested to its very limits.

I am really hooked on Julie Corbin's books and can't wait to read the next. This was a gripping psychological thriller which I could not put down. The characters were so believable and the twisting layers of the plot and the medical scenarios were very realistic . For me the anguish and fear portrayed was very moving as I felt that any mother would feel the same. Another brilliant read.

Do me no Harm's central character is Olivia Sommers, a newly divorced GP who is on a date when she receives a call that her seventeen year old son has collapsed and in hospital. It appears that Robbie has taken drugs and his father is furious at her for allowing this to happen. Phil Sommers is a psychologist and doesn't believe either her or Robbie when they insist that his drink must have been spiked.

This is a psychological thriller which moves at speed as the police become involved trying to discover who would want to harm the likeable Robbie. The characters are well drawn including eleven year old Lauren, Olivia's daughter. As a reader I had sympathy, and even shed the odd tear, as the narrative continued which marks out Julie Corbin to be a writer of talent.

Although the reason why Robbie was targeted is well signposted, there are still a few twists in the tale to make this worth a read.

I have read all 3 of Julie Corbins books and enjoyed this story very much. The plot was well executed and the characters well written, the only part that didnt work terribly well was the chapters which decribed the events in the past. i think they would have worked better if she had just remarked about the past instead of giving over whole chapters.

I thought the plot was excellent - lots of reveals carefully distributed along the length of the story. The pace never flagged but it didn't feel forced. And just when you think . . . but I won't give away too much. The characters all believable and interesting. A great read.

I really like a good thriller and Julie Corbin doesn't disappoint. Although I have to say that one of her other books "Tell Me No Secrets" is much better than this one, I feel it is still worth reading.
I found it to be a bit slow at times, as I said before its good but not fantastic.

This is what I call a really good read. Believable characters, and the story flows along nicely. The plot of the story was spellbinding, just love those consequences of old stories. Would recommend this to all readers of good fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars what I particularly appreciate in this author

This is the third novel by julie Corbin that I've read with pleasure: it's well written, no prententious style but a sound mastery of the language which is attuned to the psychplogy of the characters. In particular she excels at describing the emotions with the accompanying physiology manifestations without being too medical. Finally, the plot unfolds quite "naturally" with a few excursions into the past never too lengthy (some authors' use and abuse them) and always useful for the reader, not to the point of spoiling the suspense. I will read more of J.Corbin's novels.

Julie Corbin..... never heard of her.... I read a fair bit.... the synopsis attracted me to Do Me No Harm so into my Kindle it went. Now I know who Julie Corbin is.

This story is spicy. Full of the most unexpected twists and turns. Described as a heart-pounding psychological thriller. It is more than that. Breathtaking narrative and action packed.

A doctor's son collapses outside a pub. His drink was "spiked". By whom and why is the basis of the story. The plot is clever. The truth will eventually be exposed, as will so many guarded secrets from the past. This is a book not to be missed. This is an author I will look out for. Highly Recommended.

Yes I enjoyed it but not as much as the last one. Lots of sections on descriptive scenery which slowed down the pace of the story but even so an enjoyable read.
