Killing Faith (A Gabriel De Sade Thriller Book 1) Kindle Edition
When dismembered bodies start to appear in New York City, the search for a serial killer begins. Leading the hunt is Gabriel de Sade, a tough Manhattan detective. What should be a straightforward murder investigation escalates when yet more dismembered bodies are found. A very sick, psychotic murderer is loose on the streets of the city. Yet the case is to become more complicated than he could imagine. The nightmare is just beginning for de Sade, a Delta Force veteran of Afghanistan.
The FBI are also hunting for the serial killer and their evidence points to a Russian Mafiya baron, Grigory Gordieva. The pursuit leads Gabriel to Moscow with an FBI partner, Special Agent Faith Ward. They find themselves pitted against political interference from both American and Russian governments. Yet when they ask for help from the Moscow Militia de Sade finds them both corrupt and on the Mafiya payroll.
Their only assistance comes from an unexpected quarter, a Russian Orthodox Bishop. With his help, de Sade reaches the heart of the Gordieva’s Mafiya operations. The Russian retaliates by kidnapping Faith Ward. With only a discredited Militia detective to help him, he takes on the Moscow Mafiya. De Sade adapts his Delta Force tactics to wage a secret war on the Moscow streets. The action builds to a climax that is shattering and extraordinary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killing Faith
This was a fantastic read. A Russian serial killer and the NYC cop that is after him. The killer returns to Russia and Detective Gabriel DeSade is on his trail along with FBI Agent Faith Ward. DeSade is a great character and does his job with a passion. The two get into it with the Russian Mafia and get help from a Bishop in the Orthodox Church as well as a member of the Russian militia. The action is non stop. DeSade is a no nonsense cop and does what he has to do. I intend to buy more of the DeSade books. This book is a great read and you won't be disappointed, you will find yourself cheering him and his companions on.

5.0 out of 5 stars An alphabet soup of involvement - NYPD, FBI, CIA, FSB.
The NYPD meets the FBI. Detective Gabriel de Sade of the NYPD meets FBI Agent Faith Ward and despite her authorative attitude, Gabriel falls for her. They are paired when a Russian mafia figure, Grigory Gordieva carries out a number of murders and dissections of young attractive females in New York City. Faith’s step father Raymond Glenn is also the CIA Director and through him, the pursuit of Gordieva takes Gabriel and Faith to Moscow where Gordieva has a similar history to when in New York. On top of that he has many of the Moscow Militia, politicians and the FSB in his pocket as a result of bribes and blackmail. Faith is kidnapped on the orders of Gordieva and Gabriel pursues her rescue at the same time attacking Gordieva’s illegal activities with the help of an honest Moscow Militia Man and another ex Seal brought in by the CIA to help Gabriel.
The attention paid to Gordieva causes him to fly out to New York City again, taking Faith with him, and eventually Gabriel gets his man back there.
Starting with a murder and concluding with a high rise plunge, there is mayhem aplenty along the way with plenty of violence and this book must be considered as an enthralling murder crime thriller. You are sure to enjoy the read if this is your genre.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read.
I really enjoyed this book. I'm currently reading the fourth book. Started it yesterday and already halfway through it. I've read several of Meyer's other series and they are all great. This series seems like it wasn't edited very well. I can't tell if its that or Meyer is British and its just British english coming through. He uses words like, savvy, and other non american phrases. This somewhat took away from the story while trying to figure out what he was trying to say. He also has written in flashbacks to the main character's days as a soldier. He uses them through the entire series. Just my opinion but they add nothing to the story and should have been left out. I usually skip these parts. Other than that the story lines flow smoothly keep your attention. Great reads.
