Odd Interlude Part Two Kindle Edition
The first part of a spine-tingling 3-part Odd Thomas novella, exclusively in ebook. Includes a preview of the next thrilling novel in Dean Koontz’s acclaimed Odd Thomas series: Odd Apocalypse. Small-town guy meets big-time evil…
THERE’S ROOM AT THE INN, BUT YOU MIGHT NOT GET OUT…
Odd Thomas and Annamaria need a break from the road. Nestled on a lonely stretch along the Pacific Coast, the warm lights of Harmony Corner welcome them in. The quaint roadside outpost offers everything a weary traveller desires – a cosy diner, a handy service station, a cluster of motel rooms … and the Harmony family homestead presiding over it all.
But Odd has a bad feeling about this place. There’s more to the secluded haven than meets the eye – and between life and death there is something more frightening than either. Odd has faced evil many times and he will face it again before the night is over…

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2012Having read all three parts of Odd Interlude and Odd Apocalypse I have to say that I wish Dean had made Odd Interlude 1 2 and 3 into one full length novel. I found the plot original and Odd is more like the Odd Thomas you get to know in the earlier books, there is a major departure in character when you read Odd Apocalypse which is the sequel to Odd Interlude. The combination of alien elements and a psychic hold over the residents of the settlement was very original and kept me hooked throughout the three installments.
Bearing in mind how greedy HarperCollins have been in demanding 10 quid for the sequel Odd Apocalyse I found that although Odd Interlude was short it was a really gripping read and well worth paying just under 3 quid for the combined book. Its a real shame that this book is not available in paper and audio formats for those Odd Thomas fans who are visually impaired and cannot use a Kindle as I feel they miss out by not reading this excellent short trilogy. As a Kindle user I loved receiving the book as a serial in three parts as a warm up act prior to the release of Odd Apocalypse, even though it was of course a cynical marketing tactic!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 July 2012All 3 in this series are very good but I don't know why Dean Koontz made them so short, he is an excellent writer and they could have had more detail and been longer without it being padding. I realise or should I say I pressume it was in 3 parts so he could charge £3 for the total book and I understand this but if he's charging by the word now I'm sure his fans would have coughed up £1.50 per part, total £4.50 and been happy to have a bit more to read. There are many of us "Odd" fans out there and we'd like more Odd.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2012Having read and enjoyed Part !, I could not wait to read part 2, and was not disappointed. The series is captivating, and let's face it, it is cheaper than a cup of latte coffee in Starbucks or Costas,
more enjoyable, and you get to keep it for ever on your kindle!!
What more can I say? A great read.
Well done Dean, for another blinding series.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 September 2012Not a bad book but I have read better by this author. But for the price not a bad read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 December 2022Great read as with all Dean Koontz^s books.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 July 2012After Part One's slow start and cliff hanger ending, I was super anxious for this ( I even broke my golden rule and set aside the book I was reading to get straight to this). I wasn't disappointed - great pace and fab story. Roll on the final instalment!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 May 2016Sometimes Dean Koontz pushes the boundaries of reality but that's his job. I do find myself thinking Really!!! At several junctures but again why not. Thoroughly enjoyed and looking forward to part three..... Why couldn't it all be in one book!! You don't need clever marketing ploys when the material is good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Preço muito alto.
Não estou entendendo porque os e-books em inglês estão tão caros, muitas vezes mais caros do que os traduzidos para o português?

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Odd Thomas, what a guy!!!
I have yet to read a book that Dean Koontz has wrote that I didn't love......with that said I've even researched him enough (years and years and years ago lol) to find out what other pen names he used when writing and read those books too. While his earlier work is very different from the books he's written under his own name they were still excellent reads!! I even have both of his books he wrote for children, and while one I think is a little much for a younger child the one about Santa's evil twin is over the top funny, all of my grands love the story and really love finding the hidden snowmen in each illustration!!! I never post story line "spoilers", but I can say that if you love books about strange happenings with a sometimes supernatural or otherworld feel you'll love his books one and all!!! My absolute favorites are his Odd Thomas series, the ones he's just written lately about the boy, and later the man, that no one can tolerate looking at including his own mother, and my favorite stand alone story is probably Lightening it's about a time traveler and is reminiscent of the movie The Time Travelers Wife.....bottom line if you like stories on the "strange" side of things he is the ultimate story teller and my absolute favorite author!!!!!!!!
I will be posting reviews of his other books and since as mentioned above that I don't post spoilers I will be copying and pasting this for the reviews of those books too!!! All of the ones reviewed here are Kindle books and I should mention that the ONLY reason I even bought a Kindle to begin with was because he put out a book that was only available as a digital download!!! Sooooo Dean Koontz is responsible for me purchasing a Kindle all of his previous books I own in hard cover his books fill a bookcase in one room and parts of bookcases in other rooms as well!! Try him I guarantee you'll love him!!
