CUTTER'S GROVE Kindle Edition
A few weeks later, in the nearby town of Cutter's Grove, Lucas is told about the mysterious disappearance of a girl that took place a year earlier. Shown her picture Lucas sees a beautiful child with long, shiny black hair and an angelic smile.
She looks nothing like the ruined creature he saw in the desert.
But there is absolutely no doubt in his mind ... it's her.
Now he's faced with the problem of what to do with this knowledge. If he goes to the authorities and starts expounding about a ghost sighting he'll be locked up for sure, based on irrefutable evidence of insanity. It seems he has little choice - he has to try to determine the girl's fate on his own and, in the process, learn who might have been responsible.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 September 2013A definite 5 star for this one. I was gripped from the first page, and couldn't put it down until I finished. Thoroughly enjoyable murder mystery, great characters, lovely 'small town' atmosphere, some romance and a little bit of spookiness thrown in. This is a perfect read for snuggling up in front of a fire to read. Would make a great TV movie too. Have bought more by this author, and hope they will be as good as this one.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 August 2018I liked the pace of the book. I'm not a quick reader and it was easy to pick it up for a quick chapter or two here and there and not lose the storyline. Not the greatest book I've ever read, but on the flip side, by no means the worst. I'd certainly be interested in reading another one from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME BOOK!!
This is the best mystery I've read in a long, long time!! I couldn't put it down. I knew who the killer was from the beginning from just a hunch. So I had to keep reading the book to find out if I was correct... addictive. The characters are very real and the plot has many twists and turns. Can't wait to begin another book by this wonderful author, Patrick Dakin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous
This was a truly great read with Lucas and his story entwined with a child serial killer mystery which is a great good over evil result. Very likeable characters and from an avid reader a must read

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Darn Good!
I really enjoyed this story. It was such a simple, fast read, and was easy to follow. No lengthy details or confusing facts. The story was so interesting, I just breezed along. The characters were well-built, and I really made a connection with them. The story line was intriguing and well thought out. A couple of twists made it interesting, so don't you go thinking you know what is going on!! Good job by author. I only gave a four star rating, as it was not a multi-plotted story that was going in several directions, making it harder to be written. But, because it wasn't, it was a relaxing read! No confusion!!!! Everything was finished at the end. No guessing!

2.0 out of 5 stars I loved all this authors books thus far except for this ...
I loved all this authors books thus far except for this one. A few chapters in and still no dialogue.. I despise books told in the narrative. Doesn't hold my interest. Quit and moved on.
