- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 June 2014I spent a few hours happily away from my reality, although realities of life were kind of implied in this book and that's a good thing. I don't like stories where you don't have to.. you know, work or close doors or things.
Since reading this book, I have downloaded other books by the same author and am looking forward to reading them when I have time.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 May 2014This is the first Book in a.series by Helen Conrad of course I had to download all the other books.. I loved this book the story of Jenny and Reid the book was oh so sad in places.. oh so HOT in others.. sprung a few surprises.. but I would love to live in Destiny bay I feel as if I know all the characters personally.. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.. if you would like to know Jenny and Reid's story download the book.. I detest spoilers so will not give story away.. suffice to say the book was AWESOME This book deserves it's 5 stars
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 December 2015The fact that when you read this book - and others from the series - you feel that they were written in the 1950's and not withstanding, the books are so-so. Sadly in my opinion they are about 30 years too late ( I haven't looked to see when they were written ) in content and style, don't hold your attention and basically seem to have just missed the boat.
Sorry, I didn't enjoy the 2 or 3 that I have read at all. I honestly don't know if Ms Conrad is still writing under this name or any other pen-names. If she is, I really do hope that the 21st century has caught up with her writing as underneath it all, she wasn't too bad!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 February 2015I found this a really interesting book to read I felt it had a lot of emotion to get through with but it is like the saying true love will always win and I am looking forward to reading some more thank you.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2014I didn't realise I had read this before until I started it, I had this as part of a box set. However, I read it again and can only say it's OK. Rather a daft tale, why Reid kept chasing after Jenny I don't know. He's a bit of a jerk really. Holiday reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyable read
This book wasn't quite like all the other romances I read this one had a real story and not near as much sex. I was pleased to read it and looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Just goes to show that two different people from very different lifestyles can make it work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can they find a place where they both feel comfortable? ?
She was the girl next door that had stolen his heart and runaway. Then a chance encounter, due to her name listed as v one of the sky divers , scheduled to jump out of the aeroplane, next. Can she live in the world of elitist country club socials? Because he definitely didn't fit in her world of weird characters and funky places.
A wonderful story of why some people just don't fit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable romantic story
This was an enjoyable story of love and forgiveness. Jennifer had left home years ago and one day finds herself face to face with the star of her young fantasies. Reid has come to take Jennifer home to face what she ran away from seven years ago. But he doesn't know the real reason she ran. Jennifer had a huge crush on Reid while growing up but he was too old for her so she never imagined he felt the same about her. Reid was a bit of a cave man country club snob but he also had some things that made him become the more serious person he grew up to be. Their story was sexy and frustrating at the same time. Jennifer was a more free spirit and was always taking chances doing things that risk her life. Reid just wanted to get her back home to face her responsibilities and also to get her where she belonged...his bed. It was an enjoyable story and it wasn't easy but they managed their HEA. The storyline was interesting and the characters were easy to connect with. Seems to be a good start to a series. Highly recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why make the hero a smoker?
It's really hard to feel a connection with the make lead when he does something I don't particularly find attractive like smoking. I don't see how it added to the story but all I could think through the love scenes that his kisses must taste like an ashtray and how smelly her skin would be after he touched her. Also, he was a ridiculous jerk and it was hard to respect the heroine for being a doormat. The writing itself was good, I just disliked the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars fun read
An easy read. Like the family that is mentioned throughout the Destiny Bay series.
They feel like they're real people.
I enjoyed the bundle so much I looked for the next group but found this single story instead.
