Pedro The Ugliest Dog In The World Kindle Edition
In the town of Santa Maria all animals are welcome and free. But from the mountains, the lizard king and his gang raid the town of precious supplies. In their hour of need the town will turn to a hero, a hero whose name will strike fear in to all that hear it.
Will Pedro save Santa Maria?
Or will the truth be told?
Authors Note: After receiving negative feedback and hate mail, I thought it prudent to add a PARENTAL WARNING-This book contains words like poo, fart and snot; it also uses the word fluff three times as a cuss word. I would also like to point out that Chupacabra comes from the words chupar "to suck" and cabra "goat", literally "goat sucker" and is not a double entendre.

About the author

I am a mysterious man of mystery on a mission to write unboring and slightly weird books for children. I have so far given slow and painful birth to five books-Snotty Crocky, Pedro The Ugliest Dog in the World, FING, The Evil Pond and Pooems. I spend my days smiting sea-monsters and fighting pirates. My evenings are spent with my family.
My favourite vegetable is chocolate.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 February 2013My 10 years old son and I recently discovered the books by Papa G, and we love them so much, we read on the Kindle and ordered the paperback. The books are well written, they are funny and engaging. We laugh out loud! I was looking for a good book to encourage my son to read more, a short book that would leave him wanting for more. And we definitely found it! Papa G books have great little stories; I have also used the books to support extra curriculum literacy activities. We wish there were more stories about Pedro. We highly recommend this book as we thoroughly enjoyed reading it!!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 August 2013I chose this rating because this book is exciting
and if you get bored you can just pick up your kindle
and start reading this fun book.
I would recommend this book to most people. There is a few
tricky names to pronounce so you may need an adult to help you with the first couple of pages.
It is sad and happy so it is 50 50.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2012What a cute story about a little dog that no-one but his mother loves who, with his own determination defeats the lizards and scary monster to save the town! I read this first following on from other comments and would have no problem reading it with my 9yr old....some references to nipples which was odd given that the author could have picked other parts of the body for Pedro to attack, but that aside it gives a feel good factor that nothing is unachievable if you have belief in yourself
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2013My child loved this book and was concerned about the dog being called ugly. 'Calling people isn't nice' she proclaimed.
This book helped my child to understand that people, animals are all different and we need to be nice to everyone and thing. What a good lesson to learn.
I would recommend tis book to all parents that want to teach their children the right message from the beginning.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 February 2013I FOUND THIS BOOK ABSOLUTELY IDEAL FOR CHILDREN IT IS WELL WRITTEN AND FUNNY BUT WITH A GOOD STORYLINE. IF I HAD CHILDREN I KNOW THEY WOULD LOVE IT.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 April 2013My nearly 8 year old son and I really enjoyed this book! We read three chapters per night before bedtime, and my son always begged for another chapter :-). We both laughed our socks off at a certain goat scene...we must have laughed for ten minutes straight! We are looking forward to beginning our next Pappa G story, Fing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 June 2013Ordered for my 6yr old grandson who loved this book, we read a few chapters a night when he stayed at my house for the night and he could'nt wait to find out what Pedro was doing. When we had finished pedro he asked me to find some more books by Papa G so we are now going to read Fing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 May 2013This is such a great story, absolutely adorable! I enjoyed it from start to finish! Yes its meant for children, but honestly if you want something light-hearted to cheer you up as an adult, give it a read! I really would love to see this made into a cartoon for TV! Its great!

5.0 out of 5 stars What an adorable fun book! It has all the emotions in here! Great happy ending!
Pedro The Ugliest Dog In The World by Papa G. this is such an adorable story, I can't say enough of how I love this book! The cover is darling, to start! Look at that face, just look, lol. Pedro can't get adopted, I can't tell you too much but he ends up in a town where they think he is EL Chupacabra because he is so ugly. It gets so funny and crazy from there! Such a fun story, I just love this book!!! I am going to send this to my grand kids! It is too great. Thanks Papa G for making this old lady smile!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read to my 2nd grade daughter
Pedro may be ugly, he may be brave, and he may be loyal, but he's crazier than the El Chupacabra.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love it!
This was the second chapter book I have been able to read to my 5 year old. The rest bored him but he loved Pedro. Every night we would do three chapters, I gave all the characters mexican accents, except for the lizzard gang, they were hillbillies... In my head the flea was the voice of Cheech.... This would make a great movie, on the lines of Rango. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is I thought it needed some illustrations.

3.0 out of 5 stars children's
Santa Maria, MX. Pedro is the ugliest dog to ever be born.
Even the children made fun of him.
Carmelita (Pedro’s mother, wise old goat hound) still loved him though.
His mother would reassure him, he was special.
Señor Fuentes (former matador) was the dog family’s owner.
1-day, Pedro said goodbye to Carmelita & his family, & Señor Fuentes took him to his new home.
Dave (flea) soon attached himself to Pedro.
Bonita (Chihuahua) introduced herself to Pedro (El Chupacabra).
Señor Hables (55+ anteater) was feeding his face.
Señor Squirrel was singing a karaoke of La Bamba.
Everyone hide, the banditos are coming.
8 lizards were riding on black hairy tarantulas, & 2 were perched on a wagon.
Gary Gecko & his gang work for Lizard King.
Right away they started making fun of Pedro.
Bonita & Pedro fancied each other.
How did Pedro’s life turn out?

An awesome book cover, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (MS age) bathroom manners storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (bathroom etiquette), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. I thought it was kind of goofy so I will only rate it at 3/5 stars.
