About the author

Writer of the 'Norbert the horse' series, 'Ernie the Dog', 'Frogarty the Witch', plus a whole host of other silly nonsense!
Here's a bit about him for anyone who's interested...
James Sutherland was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, many, many, many years ago. So long ago, in fact, that he can't remember a single thing about it. The son of a musician, he moved around lots as a youngster, attending schools in the Isle of Man and Spain before returning to Stoke where he lurked until the age of 18. After going on to gain a French degree at Bangor University, North Wales, he toiled at a variety of regular office jobs before making a daring escape through a fire exit in order to concentrate on writing silly nonsense full-time. Happily married, James lives with his wife and daughter in a small but perfectly formed market town in Staffordshire. In his spare time, James enjoys playing his guitar, reading history books, and discussing the deep, philosophical mysteries of life with his goldfish, Tiffany.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 July 2012As a childrens book it is a pity that there are no pictures but my 4 year old daughter laughed out loud when imagining the funny scenarios. Didn't cost much, is worth a read.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 April 2015Really didn't like it, was full of enormous words enough to put my son off reading, so I read it to him but he lost comprehension due to these unnecessary lengthy words, didn't think the story was very good either. Sorry.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 August 2016Bought for grandchildren to get them to read for a while on their tablets rather than play games. Great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic. Heroic. Funny. Entertaining. Awesome!
I’ve got this to read as a bedtime story for my kid, and found myself deeply affected by the narrative, as if I could see and feel the actions and drama, specially the toilet part. Just epic. It’s rare that a “regular old book”, not something famous and well known, does that to me. Just EPIC. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series and more from the author!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for small children
Not for small children. I ordered this book having seen the reviews. Where did they come from? Not one picture in the book. As we all know small children like to see picture.
